She was apologetic and said she wouldn’t be able to help me with the bag today, and asked me to get an appointment with the leather department first, and then we would be able to look at scarves and other things, and then I should receive text message and go to look at bags. So I went to the leather department and was greeted by a host, he asked me what bag I would like, I said “Kelly and Bolide”. He asked me to take a seat and said the leather SA will be with me “really quickly”. I was a bit puzzled as there are quite a number of people waiting for their appointments and so I asked “really quickly?” And he smiled and replied “yes, really quickly” I was a bit reluctant to take a seat as my SA was waiting for me in the silk department, but after just a minute or two, a leather SA arrived. The host exchanged a conversation with her in French and then the leather SA asked me “How can I help you Madame?” I said “I am looking for a Kelly or a Bolide.” She said “ok, may i know the colour and size you are looking for?” I said “my dream bag is a Kelly in dark blue, as dark blue is my favourite colour. I have a red Kelly retourne. So I would love a sellier. For bolide, I don’t like 27 as it is too small for me. I would like 31 or 35... I like larger bags but I am a bit worried 35 would be too heavy. Neutral colours would be nice... oh, and I don’t like swift leather, I prefer some grainy leathers like clemence.” She smiled and said “let me check”

In less than 5 minutes, the leather SA returned with a big orange box and said, “it is a bolide, in dark blue.” She opened the box, it is a Bolide 1923 in size 30, indigo, with gold hardware. She asked “do you like it?” I said “it is perfect, thank you.”

I know bolide is less sought after than kelly or birkin, but I am very very happy, as i want a bag with zipper for my travels. And the colour and hardware combo is my dream combo.

I went upstairs to silk department and my SA was waiting for me and said “have you managed to make the appointment? We can look at scarves now, leather department will text you when it is your turn.”

I got my bag already!!” I replied. She was surprised [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Then i got 2 pairs of shoes, a 140cm cashmere and silk scarf and pair of twillies for my new bag.

I'm sorry but im going to have to backtrack a little bit cause it all happened in mid May.
Touched down Paris on early morning about 9am, previously i have already made two online appointments (my phone and DH's) before our flights and obviously got rejected, not everyone is as lucky as those who had gotten an appointment on their first attempt :smile:
So yes, touched down, checked into our hotel to freshen up, and first order of business, marched straight away to FSH. Arrived at about 12pm, it was surprisingly a quiet Friday. Went to the counter to ask for an SA to check if she is available only to be told that she was an intern (last year in July, i scored a bag from this SA) and she's no longer there, well. Then, during my previous trip to FSH, DH and I kind of made a friend with an SA from the belt department, so i thought since we were there, would be nice to catch up with her.

Okay, during this point, I did not expect anything from her cause as mentioned she's from the belt department and i didnt think she could help me with my wishlist. DH and I just wanted to say hi to her cause we had really good experience with her during our last visit (not anything related to bags). So we got help from another SA to help us check if she's working that day, and yes she was! the SA called her and said that she will be down in a minute.

After waiting for about 5-10 minutes, there she was! I was honestly really happy that she still recognized us haha. DH and I chatted with her while picking DH's pocket squares and ties. We also told her that we tried using the online system to make an appointment but failed, however because we still gonna be in town for the next few days, we definitely will give it a try again.
Then she asked me the magic sentence. "Are you going to do some shopping today?" (we all know what this means :cool:) then I got really excited but had to calm myself down inside. Trust me, i was screaming inside.
I told her yes, then she asked me what i was looking for.
I tried extremely hard to be calm because i didn't want to be disappointed, i believe all of you ladies here did the same thing :biggrin: Got her my wishlist then she told me once my DH has done with his shopping, she will go and check for mine.

So after DH was done, she left too. We didnt wait for very long, prolly about 5 minutes and she's back. At that time, i was already a tiny bit upset, because if it took her just 5 minutes meant she couldn't find anything for me. She returned with a small box, i thought it was just a clutch, Jigee or something. Then she brought us into a corner room (okay it must be good right?), she said that she only had this at the moment.

Ladies, i was screaming inside and out. not exactly what i wanted but close enough. The colour and hardware, I guess the SA really understand my taste. I honestly made the fastest decision ever without even asking for my DH's opinion :biggrin: Im really thankful for her, she's my FSH angel :P

Ladies, please don't hold your breath.

Next to my K32 Vert Vertigo which I scored last year July from FSH. and yes i brought this bag along with me to FSH. The mini is really tiny, i couldnt fit my Iphone Plus in it, i guess it's time to change phone :shocked:

Thank you all so so very much for reading my earlier post and responding with candid and direct feedback as requested, with @footlocker seeming to hit it head on. The candidness and feedback from you all's experiences really helped put things in perspective for me and helped me to realize that they were not playing "mind games," as I felt. In my naiveness to really want a purse and hope for the best, my mind was racing in all areas. I also had to get my husband in the game and help to understand that even those these are extreme luxury goods, the availabity and sales process is on a totally different level we were not use to, even though I did a lot of research!

Based on your feedback, it put me in another mind frame and I looked at things from the angles you all presented, and then became very grateful for the relationships that I quickly built with the Hostess and Men's Sales Associate, which I felt were genuine, but questioned when I didn't get the bag on Thursday.

Listening to your feedback, I took action and went the "extra mile" to secure my bag!!

Another post to come soon - but again, thank you all so much for reading my story and taking the time to provide valuable insightful feedback!!

Love the happy ending! Congrats! I would die for this bag. It was also in my wish list on my last trip to Paris, but I ended up getting the black one, which was my first option.

Thank you!! I was looking for a B35 in two color families - either darker neutrals or medium/light blues. When my SA offered me this bag, I was so pleased! Since this is my first B, I am really happy that I got a classic neutral color. I am such a handbag and Hermès lover - I still can’t believe that I have this bag, it feels like a dream!
I know that I will love and enjoy my B for a very very very long time :biggrin::heart:

I was carrying my Kelly with the straps undone as we all do and while crossing the road 2 teenage girls ( jeans/tee shirts, look like any other regular teenagers) who were behind me somehow managed to open the turnlock. A French lady who was also behind me tapped me on the shoulder and said those 2 girls are trying to rob you! I quickly checked my bag and luckily nothing was gone but the turnlock was indeed open. In a separate incident, my friend was crossing the road near FSH, carrying her Birkin and holding her daughter’s hand. Again 2 girls on either side of her pushed past while they were crossing and when she got to other side her wallet was gone! Please please be careful around that area.
