Apologies in advance if this has already been asked before (I’ve been following this thread for months and don’t think it’s such case..please correct me if I’m wrong)

DH and I met a wonderful SA who is in charge of men’s RTW and accessories during our visit to FSH earlier this year and we were handed his business card. We connected well and he went as close as asking for the specs of the dream bag I was looking for. Tho at the end he didn’t offer us anything and told us to come back next time.

I’ll be back in Paris next month (not with DH) and am thinking whether it would be a good idea to email him to see if I could make an appointment with him? (Although he isn’t directly in charge of the leather department. Would he also have the say to offer a B/K bag?) :confused1:

How would you all dear tpf-ers go about emailing an SA? Would you give him a list of H items you’re looking to purchase with together with the specs of your dream bag?

Thanks a lot in advance!

It doesn’t hurt to try both emailing the SA and apply for an appointment online. But I believe the email address on all their business cards is the same, which means that the email that you wrote to your SA could be read by other employees at FSH.

I was able to purchase a K without purchase history 2 years ago.. last month when I revisited Paris, I tried to email the same SA and hoped for an appointment as I was unable to fetch one online two days in a row. However I received a reply from another employee, who basically just invited me to apply for an appointment on their website.

Hi ladies,do you pack the Hermes box in your luggage or you will bring the bag back without box?

I always bring all the packaging back (even the wrapping paper inside the box). Just fill the box with clean clothes or small accessories. Take the bag with you on the plane.

I was able to haul back boxes of K35, B30, L30 without any problems.

Hi all,

Can any of you please advise me if you had to use the card under your name for a purchase?
I am planning to use my husband’s card but the purchase should be under my name to get a tax refund being myself a non-EU citizen/ my husband a French.

Please share your experiences if possible.
Merci

My experience has been cc name must match passport used to purchased. Maybe others had a different experience but I think this is standard. Good luck!

Like @Txoceangirl said, it must be the standard worldwide.

In Sydney, Australia, I asked if the purchase can be made under my hubby’s name as he has purchased before in Paris (in a hope that someday the worldwide system will be linked so one’s profile and history can be looked up whichever country you are in) but paid using my card.

However I was told no.
For the purchase to bear my husband’s name, it has to be paid using his card and he has to be present too at the time of purchase.

HTH!

It’s not about citizenship or what passport you hold but about place of residence as tax refund is meant for people who do not live in the EU.

I hold a non-EU passport but live in London so never qualify for tax refund - hope that helps clarify things!

If you don't have an EU passport but you live in the EU, you are not eligible for a tax refund.

That’s right. I hold an EU passport but place of residence is in Asia. I always get my VAT back.

Hi all,
I just bought a Kelly 25 today in FSH for my sister but my sister doesn’t like it at the end, she wants a 28 instead. I’m planning going back to FSH tomorrow and see if I can exchange it if they have stocks. Anyone have this experience before and is it possible for an exchange.
Thanks
