Part 4: Behind the Scenes
It turns out that when my boyfriend was talking to our SA on Wednesday he asked her if there was any way possible he can speak to someone about getting on the rooftop because he wanted to propose to me there. She almost started tearing and went to look for a manager to tell them about his request and they forwarded the request to Michael. That was when the management team came down with Michael, which was when I spotted him and asked for a photo with him. When I was too busy checking out the photos on my phone, my boyfriend told Michael about his plans and asked if he wanted to propose that day, but he did not have the ring on him… Oh, remember when my boyfriend asked about the restroom? Well, he didn’t need to use the restroom, he was chatting with our SA and told her Michael confirmed for Saturday at 2:30 for us to check out the rooftop garden. All along the hostess, chef (yes, they have a chef upstairs), leather department team, management team, our SA and Michael knew about his planned proposal! This trip to Paris couldn’t have been any better. It was perfect! Thank you all for letting me share my story about my trip to Paris for Hermes.
Fun fact: We are the 2 couple to get engaged on the rooftop garden :heart:
Sorry I am not sure how to rotate the attached photos

What an amazing story, so very romantic and sweet. Now the 2 bags are really priceless and sentimental. Thank you for sharing this intimate story. Congratulations on both of you. :heart::heart::heart:

I think I was there at the same time with you at Sevres and also later at FSH, I do remember your cute daughter and the hostess going to get the straw - I remember thinking to myself that was so sweet of the hostess!

Anyway it’s amazing to hear that your trip turns out extremely well!!! Congratulations on all the wonderful scores! Patience does pay off in the end :girlsigh::hbeat::hbeat:

I guess the PurseForum app “ate” your message earlier coz I saw this just now :)

Can’t believe we were in the same store at the same time! What a small world! Did you manage to score anything? I guess I have no luck with Sevres, I never managed to score a thing there!

~~~ PART 4 ~~~
My appointment on Saturday was scheduled at 4:10pm. Inventory is usually low on a Saturday, not to mention late afternoon on a Saturday. I had no expectations and was planning for a high tea with DH and our baby since it was our last full day in Paris before flying back to the States.
I told DH that birkin is never available on a Saturday afternoon, but he insisted that I should still go and not waste another chance. He took our toddler back to hotel so this time I went to FSH by myself. I dressed casually (tee and pants. it was at high 70s that day).
I got there at 3:30pm-ish since my appointment time moved forward. But then it moved back to a later time so I walked around inside the store while waiting.
Out of my expectations, there were lots of good stuff being shown in public area. I saw a Kelly 25 in Zanzibar blue with gold hardware being shown in Men's accessories area downstairs. 15 mins later I saw a lady being offered Birkin 30 in Noir at the same spot! I was like, what's going on today?! They must have just received some deliveries and couldn't wait to sell them.
It was finally my turn at around 4:30pm. My SA is a very friendly young lady, always have a smile. She didn’t check my purchase history, she went straight up and asked me what I wanted. I gave her a list of colors for birkin 30, and a list of charms (rodeo or horseshoe). She immediately said that they sold out of charms then she headed to the stockroom.
She came back very quickly (like 5 mins or even less?) with a box in her arms and asked me to follow her. We went to the same area where the Kelly and Birkin were offered earlier. I was getting a little excited but didn't set my hopes too high. I just hoped that it would be a Birkin 30 in a color that I like.
She opened it up, she said "I am surprised that this is there, but I checked the computer, it is really there!" Turned out it was a Birkin 30 in Noir with gold hardware, togo leather! My jaw dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so shocked and speechless!!!
I tried it on for like 5 seconds and said "I will take it!! WOW!" Since there was no charms available, we just went straight to the cashier. The whole process (meet the SA + show the bag + checkout) was less than 20 mins.
The minute I stepped out the store, I texted DH "I got a Birkin, and it's a black with gold hardware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' He said "See? Told you, just keep an open mind." I was so glad that I had listened to him.
Presenting the beautiful Birkin I got last Saturday! Couldn’t believe I brought home 3 Hermes bags.
Thanks for letting me share!View attachment 4060781
Congratulations on all your purchases! You give us all hope that miracles do happen and to score a birkin on a Saturday is amazing. I can tell how happy you and your husband are. Congratulations again and you have forever bags in your collection.
Congratulations for your precious scores indeed!
When I last visited in Christmas, my three kids had a great time folding X’mas tree oragami which the H staff encased in plastic globules that can be hung on the X’ mas tree! H just does everything with class!
May I know if you had any purchase history at FSH prior to your recent three purchases? Did you also purchase anything else when you bought the L30 n C18?
Once again, congrats especially on your noir B30 w ghw. It’s definitely on my wish list
Yes, that was us in the video. :) Michael and the H team went above and beyond for us. Making sure the weather would be nice, celebrating the special moment with us with champagne and pastries, gifting us the Jardin Sur Le Toit perfume because it is the scent that describes the secret rooftop garden. <3
What an awesome story!!! congrats on the bags and the engagement!!!!
Thank you so much! :)
Wow, wow, wow! @princesscathryn you have three gorgeous bags! To get B and C on the same trip and the Lindy! Enjoy all your new goodies!
Thank you :) Yes, Hermes is very accommodating. We were really happy with the experience.
I purchased a K35 two years ago. And my DH purchased a clic h bracelet like four years ago. That was it. Lindy and C were purchased under DH’s name. B was under my name.
DH’s SA did look up my purchase history (she was trying to look for DH’s but couldn’t find it, so she asked for mine). And we did reserve one men’s bracelet and one clic h earlier that day, but she didn’t seem to know we had them reserved until we checked out all four items.
I never had Constance in mind, it was very nice of her to bring this up and showed two of them to us.
My SA didn’t ask for my purchase history. I think she was in a good mood that day LOL. She basically just came with a big smile and asked me what I wanted, took a pic of the list I created for my DH’s appointment, then came back super fast with a Birkin that made me and people passed by very shocked!
