Generally I think Hermes is aiming to strongly encourage people to shop only at their local store or the nearest they can reach within reason and to build up only one profile there. I think that's the plan anyway for the trend I notice. So possibly fewer bags for new clients and fewer appointments at FSH overall.

That makes sense. It's definitely more practical but its so much fun to shop in Paris!

WOOOOOHOOOOO! WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW HAPPY I AM!!!
A really lengthy story and I hope you guys could enjoy it!

My partner and I just got back from our Europe trip and we were extremely lucky to secure an appointment on our second try! The signals underground were really bad so we were not hopeful at first as we did not send our request at 10:30am sharp! But we literally screamed when we received the sms saying our appointment is confirmed!

Our appointment was 5:15pm initially but it kept changing and we were rescheduled for 6:20pm finally.
We were like...okay...so we would have about 10 minutes before the store close lol
We arrived earlier at 5:45pm and we were told to go upstairs and wait for our hostess.
There were many Halzans, Plums and Evelynes in display for sales even if you did not secure an appointment!
We finally met our wonderful hostess after browsing around for 20 minutes and she asked us what were we looking for straight away! She was straight forward but warm and friendly. We did not have any small talks before the reveal at all lol
I told her I would love to have a K28 or K30 in Malachite, Etoupe or Etain with silver hardware.
I also said if Kelly wasn't available I would love for a Birkin and Constance in any sizes as well~
Just that I am very particular with colours~ She then went away for 15 minutes then cam back with 4 boxes!!!!!!!!!!!
With an appointment this late we were just trying our lucks and we would be happy with a Herbag actually lol

She led us to a very dark and remote little area to show us the pieces and I was already sweating with excitements and joys!!!! Then....she revealed....a K35!!!!!!!!! She said she could not find the size and colour combo that I wanted but she thought this new grey would look perfect on me! She was right! We are actually two guys and K35 looks so right on us!
I said YES YES YES without thinking much then.....then....OMG she suddenly put on her gloves....
and she took the smaller box out... we were thinking like....she didn't wear her gloves when taking out the Kelly...
what else could make her wear gloves?!!! She revealed a Jige in Malachite Alligator!!!!!!!!!!!!
She said she looked around for Malachite for me and this is the piece that she found!!!!!!!!!!
It was such an exceptional piece >< I did not take it as it was too out of reach for my budget....
However we were so grateful that she even took it out for us! She is the best!!!!!
The other two boxes were an Evelyne in Malachite and a key chain in Malachite as well.
We chose the Kelly only and went downstairs for a twilly~

On our way to the twilly department, the ground floor was still filled with customers and I stopped and tried a Toolbox20 in Vertigo which I love as well. But I asked her if she had any Lindys and she said yes she had one in Etoupe!
There were no Lindys in display so when she took it out for us the surrounding customers were all looking at us lol Of course I had to take the Lindy with me as well We chose a rather masculine Lindy then left with 2 gigantic orange boxes!!

Few things we learned from this amazing experience:
1) The appointment confirmation is totally random~I was faster than my partner but he got it instead
2) You must pay with the card under the name of the one who secured the appointment
3) Late appointments can still get Kelly!
4) Be specific and direct with all the details
5) We bought a Herbag in Amsterdam but the FSH store only has the record you bought in France

Just got back to the states... tired but I'd like to share our experiences for last friday and saturday before I forget. Sorry this is going to be long story.

~~~ PART 1 ~~~

Both me and my DH tried to get an appointment online every day since last monday. After several unsuccessful attempts, my DH got his on his 3rd try, it was for last friday at 4:55pm. We got there at least an hour early to check out the store.

I noticed 4-5 parties being shown the same herbag in brownish color, and a french speaking asian lady being shown two bags that she shook head and refused as soon as the SA opened the box and before he tried to take them out from the box. I don't know the names of those bags.

It was not good.

I started getting a little upset, but my DH was optimistic and telling me they must have something back there, and he would use his consultant skills to talk the SA into showing us something good LOL. Anyway. Whatever.

My DH finally got a text asking him to go upstairs at around 5:30pm. Our SA guided us to a consultation area with two tables. There was another party sitting behind us. Our SA is a local French at her 50's. When we first met her, I'm sorry to say that I felt she was a bit... cold, kind of? Before we started the real business, DH started to initiate a conversation with her. I didn't remember exactly what they chatted coz I was nervous and trying to memorize my wishlist... but after a while they started talking about daughters' horoscopes and she became way more friendly.

Then she asked me for wishlist and went to the stockroom. My DH emphasized that he really wanted to get me a Birkin coz I had a Kelly already. I also gave her second choices (Lindy and Picotin). I wasn't optimistic based on what I saw downstairs, but DH said "Just keep an open mind, they always have something back there."

Our SA went for a good 30 mins. Meanwhile I was taking a peep at the party behind us... I saw the SA put on her gloves so I knew it must be something good. She showed her a black constance wallet in croc leather with gold hardware. It was gorgeous. Which made me anxious to know what was in their second box - turned out it was the same herbag we saw downstairs!!!!!! Both me and my DH were looking each other and I could see my DH's mouth trying to say "What the....!!"

I started to lose hope again.

Our SA came back at 6:00pm. She brought two boxes. I felt complicated - I could tell they were not boxes for herbag, but also not for Birkin. She said sorry she really tried hard to find me a Birkin but they were completely gone, which I believe her. The first one was a Lindy 30 in Noir with silver hardware! Pretty!

The second box was a Picotin 22 in electric blue with silver hardware. The handle is made of a different leather. While that was on my wishlist, I was not impressed.

I tried on the Lindy, I am happy with it - it is something that I always wanted and it is in black which I preferred. Meanwhile there were few people nearby and the party behind us looking at me trying on the Lindy. I felt fortunate that our SA really tried hard to find me something I wanted.

DH tried to ask again if there was any Birkin left, maybe our SA could fell our slight disappointment, she asked "Do you like Constance?" I was like "Oh.... YESSS!"

Then our SA went to the stockroom again and came back with another box. It is a Constance 24 in rouge casaque with silver hardware, evercolor leather! It was YUMMY. I tried it on, more people were staring at us. It is really pretty, but it is more expensive than a Birkin 30 which makes me not sure that if I should get it.

So our SA (who is really an angel) checked on her phone and said they have a smaller Constance and asked me if I wanted to see. It was about 2500 euro cheaper than the Constance 24, and it is in dark grey (I preferred dark neutral colors). I quickly nodded and she went back to the stockroom for the third time.

The store closed while we were waiting for our SA. This time she came back quickly with the fourth box. It is a mini Constance with silver hardware, Epsom leather. Turned out it is in Etain! I couldn't believe the dark grey she was referring to was Etain which was on my wishlist!

We asked if we could get two bags at a time. Our SA said "Sure, there is limit only on Birkin, Kelly and Constance." So we ended up with the Lindy 30 in Noir and mini Constance in Etain! I know it was crazy - I was hoping for Birkin, but ended up with some other good stuff!!

When we left the store, it was already like 7pm or even 7:30pm. And the funny thing was not too long after we walked out the store, I received a text from Hermes saying "Your appointment is confirmed." - I finally got my appointment on my 4th try, but should I go then?

My appointment on Saturday was scheduled at 4:10pm. Inventory is usually low on a Saturday, not to mention late afternoon on a Saturday. I had no expectations and was planning for a high tea with DH and our baby since it was our last full day in Paris before flying back to the States.

I told DH that birkin is never available on a Saturday afternoon, but he insisted that I should still go and not waste another chance. He took our toddler back to hotel so this time I went to FSH by myself. I dressed casually (tee and pants. it was at high 70s that day).

I got there at 3:30pm-ish since my appointment time moved forward. But then it moved back to a later time so I walked around inside the store while waiting.

Out of my expectations, there were lots of good stuff being shown in public area. I saw a Kelly 25 in Zanzibar blue with gold hardware being shown in Men's accessories area downstairs. 15 mins later I saw a lady being offered Birkin 30 in Noir at the same spot! I was like, what's going on today?! They must have just received some deliveries and couldn't wait to sell them.

It was finally my turn at around 4:30pm. My SA is a very friendly young lady, always have a smile. She didn’t check my purchase history, she went straight up and asked me what I wanted. I gave her a list of colors for birkin 30, and a list of charms (rodeo or horseshoe). She immediately said that they sold out of charms then she headed to the stockroom.

She came back very quickly (like 5 mins or even less?) with a box in her arms and asked me to follow her. We went to the same area where the Kelly and Birkin were offered earlier. I was getting a little excited but didn't set my hopes too high. I just hoped that it would be a Birkin 30 in a color that I like.

She opened it up, she said "I am surprised that this is there, but I checked the computer, it is really there!" Turned out it was a Birkin 30 in Noir with gold hardware, togo leather! My jaw dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so shocked and speechless!!!

I tried it on for like 5 seconds and said "I will take it!! WOW!" Since there was no charms available, we just went straight to the cashier. The whole process (meet the SA + show the bag + checkout) was less than 20 mins.

The minute I stepped out the store, I texted DH "I got a Birkin, and it's a black with gold hardware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' He said "See? Told you, just keep an open mind." I was so glad that I had listened to him.

Presenting the beautiful Birkin I got last Saturday! Couldn’t believe I brought home 3 Hermes bags.
