Thanks :) Yeah we went straight to the airport from the FSH store. Took about 40mins. Luckily we live just 1 hour flight away so only had a lv keepall 55 luggage bag with us. The security at FSH store had a look at the luggage bag and kindly let us in. Tbh I was going to ask my DH to hold the luggage and wait for me outside if the security didn’t allow us to come in with that bag. I have heard stories that they won’t let clients with suitcases in.

This having to spend X amount to maybe be able to buy a handbag. Could it be that the SA are thinking of their commission rather than Hermes saying you have to do this?

Sorry if this was mentioned before. I am a longtime stalker of Hermes but with no hope of a handbag unless I win the lottery!!

Hi friends, I would like some advice please.

I'll be going to Paris in June 2018 and of course will go to all the H stores hoping to get a bag. This will be my 3rd trip (the first 2 with no luck), so I'm really hoping to score this time.

I have my eye on a pc of fine jewelry (the Boucle Sellier bracelet with diamonds) and my dilemma is this:

1. Should I wait to buy it in Paris and use that as spending towards getting a BKC since it is more likely to increase my chances of the SA offering me a bag?

2. Or should I buy it in my home store in Singapore where it costs much more, but ensures me a bag since it adds to my spending history?

I have to place a deposit for a special order for the bracelet as they don't have my size in stock. What also adds to my problem is the price increase thats coming in mid Jan so I have to tell my SA about my decision before the price changes.

Anyone been in my situation before? Any advice would be appreciated! =D Thanks!

I would go for option 1 and this should get a good chance to get your bag! Moreover, they will also be cheaper in Paris.

Do you want a very specific size color etc for your bag? If so buy the bracelet at your home store and ask them to get the exact bag that you want. You might have to wait for it but hopefully they will eventually get you exactly what you want.

If you are open to many options and don’t have your heart set on a super popular small sized bag then get the bracelet at FSH. The problem with FSH is that it’s all luck as to what stock they have that day so you have to be open to many possibilities.

Wait to buy in Paris! Fine jewelry will guarantee a bag and it will be much cheaper than Singapore!! Too many VVIP’s in Asia.

@Pocketbook Pup I guess I'm like most pple, I would prefer neutral colors. I do have specific requests in terms of size and hardware. After accumulating ~$16k spending over the last 2yrs I finally got my first B25 in my home store (rouge vif, ghw). I guess I'm greedy and the chase for more H bags never ends LOL and my wishlist is still so long. :p

Hence the bracelet, which thankfully I actually do love/want it, will ensure I don't have to go through the whole long process of accumulating spending & waiting for the next bag..

For those of you who have done the jewelry route in FSH - how often did it lead to a bag purchase?

Success rate is very high to be able to purchase a bag but you want a highly in demand size and color and they might simply not have it. So it’s a big gamble. If I were you I would buy at hone. And I am someone who has been purchasing a variety of things including jewelry and bags at FSH for years now. I am fortunate that I like larger sizes and I have been open to various colors. Most local French clients prefer the larger sizes and they are less popular with the tourists so stock is better. Even with that I could not find some items on my wishlist and eventually I special ordered them.

Re the price, it’s my experience that you pay whatever the price is at the time the item is actually picked up/available, not the price at the time of order.

More than likely. Or perhaps FSH has a different policy because they get so many tourists. Both of mine were jewelry as well and I sure wasn’t happy when they insisted they had to charge me the increased price.
