I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Attempted in October and no success; no B or K but was offered other bags - a bit sad lol

Due to my work won't be able to go so sending my sis - one week to Paris in April! She'll be staying 10mins away (walking time) from Hermes! 7 days? Hope she can score me a b30 or k28! K28 seems to be more practical for me because of the strap but b30 is also so pretty! Thinking about it everyday! Have no Hermes purchase record but will see how it goes!

pretzelandcooki, wish your sister will have best of luck and help you to score B/K.

I ended up, both times, buying a luggage in Paris. My shopping list grew. [emoji12]

I packed empty boxes inside a bigger empty box in checked &carry on. All of the goods in my longchamp bag. [emoji9]

Happy shopping!

Hi, guys! I am finally back home. I really appreciate all your support. I couldn't respond to all due to limited time while traveling but really, you guys are the best!

Some messaged me asking how my trip ended...

image_zpszagjm5yv.jpeg

Yes, I ended up with some orange boxes. And the largest box on the bottom is indeed a bag. But sigh... It isn't a Kelly I was hoping to get from FSH. In fact, it did not come from any of the three Hs in Paris city!

So that's the short version of the other two days in Paris.

Now the long version of my failed trip for those who are interested.

After we got rejected at FSH on the third day, we hopped over to Sevres. There were some things I liked but we decided to revisit the next day, as the friendliest SA we met told us they are to get a shipment for sure.

So the next morning, instead of queuing at FSH, we head to Sevres, around noon with high hope. However, the serene ambience of the store we saw the day before was gone. There were many customers at the leather dept, obviously waiting their turns. All seats around the area was occupied, with customers with stern faces. And the SA I met before was no where to be found. Actually, it seemed there was just one SA at the whole dept!

I guess we weren't the only ones who heard about the shipment? Or people who got rejected at FSH that morning all decided to come? I went back at forth all depts and the crowd at leather just kept growing, with no increase in number of SAs.

At this point, I wondered about getting jewerly, yet the only person who is available there was the condescending SA I met in July! And now there were 20+ customers just staring desperately at the bag and SLG displays. It seemed one would have to spend hours just getting help, so we decided to leave. Even if they do have the bags, it just seemed impossible for us to get any that day.

We took a cab ride to Georve V instead. After a quick browse of downstairs (the only bag in display I liked was an ostrich Lindy but of course that is "display only" item) we head upstairs to browse less crowded RTW and shoes dept. But for some reason, they never have a real SA for these depts whenever I visit that store. This time was the same and we had to wait a while before someone can help us with sizes of sneakers sis wanted.

These days, they can just look up the stock on their iPhones. (Why can't they do that for the bags, don't u guys wonder?) Yet this poor man can't really tell us what's what as it turns out he's not really a shoes SA. So we spend a ridiculous amount of time just checking through what sizes are available and get the final answer, none available in wanted sizes. Oh, with the added words, "you would find more available in Belgium as they are taller."

Downstairs again, right after the greeter of the store tells us someone would be with us soon, a young Korean guy comes in and says he wants a Kelly. Doesn't matter what size, which color, he just needs one. The greeter girl tells the guy he has to wait and see someone from leather but the dude still goes on and on. Kelly! Kelly! He can take any color! Sis says she was embarrassed herself for being the same nationality. Uhm... But that's probably how we look to all the SAs we met? So yes, I do see how tough their days must be.

After a short wait, a SA comes over and tells us no bags available except the displayed ones. And there would be no shipment tomorrow as well. So we leave George V empty handed again, like always. I would be so shocked myself if I ever walk out there with an orange shopping bag as I never have any luck there. Even the scarf selections there always has been such a disappoint for me in the past.

Sis was regretting how we did not queue at FSH as the other days. After 20 mins or so, we are back in FSH for fourth day in row. It's the first time in this trip to be there in the afternoon and the store looks quite empty, in all depts. I already knew the answer but still ask for any appt slot and of course, got turned down. I think those who were able to appts when walked in the afternoon were indeed very lucky.

As the only thing bought from H this trip so far was the bag charm I got on the first day, we decide to check out the jewerly again. We just felt the need to buy something, anything! My family would think of me crazy but I really wanted to swipe my credit cards, lol.

The jewerly SA I met couple days ago was quite nice, so I looked for him and we each ended up buying an item for ourselves. I, a watch with gator strap in my fave color and sis, a cdc ring. Kind of inspired by Binkmartini? I mentioned how nice it looked on her the other day so sis was intrigued. She isn't that familiar with H jewerlies, and always thought of CDC=leather bracelet.

After we decide on our purchases, we chatted a bit with our friendly SA, about our failed attempts with bags. He said he can't check for a B or K but could for other things so sis asked for Herbag, lol. He replied he hasn't seen one for months and gave a negative when he checked while we were paying for the items. He also agreed the new system of appt is tough, as customers who used to come later in the day cannot get bags like before. But unlike US, where you can get anything easily if you have money, FSH wants to give the chance to everyone. Sigh... Not quite "everyone" in my book but well, that's how they are trying to operate.

The next day was our final day to be spent at FSH. We decided to split, with me at the side entrance. I think this was a good strategy. On that day, they were sort of opening the both doors at the same time. And instead of stopping after few, our side door security guy was actually letting in a lot of people at once. There were about 15 ahead of me and I was in with them right away.

With the side door so much closer to leather dept, it is usually easy to get onto the inside queue once you are in. However, inside queue was already long enough to reach to the end of leather dept by the time I was in. And folks front of me were not moving fast to get to the end, making a mess at the cramped space near wallet displays! If in NY, I would've yelled, "Let's move it, people!" but ahem, I impatiently waited until this confused crowd of people in front of me finally realized they have get on another queue inside the store. By the time everything cleared, I was standing just 10 feet away from front entrance.

When it was finally my turn to get appt, SA asked the reason of my visit, lol. Uhm... I thought we all came here for the same reason? I was given 2:50 slot and started to walk around, looking for sis and ended up finding her, all upset, around wallet section. She said they would not let in people from front door for a long time and she probably was allowed after all the side door customers were in. Rules of which door goes in first seem so fickle, I can now say there is no rule.

She later told me it was especially more upsetting as some people were allowed in even though they were not on the queue. Some told the security "my husband is already in" or "I'm here to buy scarves." If they were really telling the truth, she doesn't know but it didn't really seem like security would keep track of those customer.

Sis got a time slot of 5:50. We browsed through the mens dept to see if we can get something for dad, and was quickly assisted by a friendly SA. After a short chat about fabrics, he gave me his card, which said he also does shoes, so off we went to get me a pair of sneakers from mens dept. (Not only I have the typical wider Asian feet, I'm also tall and big, so more than often get mens shoes, provided they are cute kinds.) My SA was actually very nice and we had a nice chat through the whole time. He wished us well with the bag mission and arranged for my shoes to be sent to the hotel.

Even after lunch, there was still much time left till my appt time. We had an hour or so rest at the hotel room, till I get a text saying I should head back to FSH. Texts I received in the past were "Please see SA xxx at xxx" but this was something new. It said they would assign me to a SA later and I should return myself to the store. By the time I got to FSH, I get the SA is ready text, and sighed when I saw the name. It was the same SA I got on the very first day of this trip!

I just knew I wasn't getting my bag. Although a lovely girl, I could not help but get the feeling she is the SA who is supposed to say NO. And I didn't mention it earlier but she was also resposible for wasting my precious time when making a purchase went wrong that first day. Just like I expected, she came back empty handed, awfully fast, I should add, after supposedly "checking." She didn't even ask for hardware or leather choices btw.

Sister's time kept changing, and she finally got the revisit FSH text around 4:20. However, the final text with SA's name was not sent for what felt like the longest time. Her time kept delaying back at then, in 5 or 10 minutes, and final text came at 5:40.

When I saw who was her SA, I knew it was not a good. I saw her assisting another customer right next to me during my appt and that customer also got a "no." She did seem to work hard, showing her many other things. And she definitely had more professional vibe than all the SAs I got. While sis gave her wishlist, I asked for a Rodeo, a I noticed many customers getting them in the last two hours. She came back with two boxes, small one containing this

image_zpsw24aan3j.jpeg

and a much larger box that got sister's eyes widened with joy. BUT it was a Cher Midi., not a Kelly!

Now the rest of the boxes... Surprisingly elusive Herbag was available at CDG H! SA said they also get Constances but none in stock that day. But sis was just so happy to at least get one bag from her wishlist. I also picked out a shawl for ma and sis picked a twilly. And that wraps it up for our winter shopping trip.

Thanks again for all the kind words from everyone here! Our visits to FSH turned out to be failures hunt for Ks but at least now I have great SAs at mens and jewerly for future purchases. And sis got her fave Christmas present at an airport, of all places, which she found so amusing.

Actually SA indeed can see the stock of bags from their phone so checking are finding they are all shows

Thanks for sharing Nanami. I am surprised you had a hard time to find an herbag in Paris in three stores. It's really easy to get here in my home store and there are two sizes available for any walkins. I saw them right before Christmas.

The rodeo is cute and the Constance in your photo looks fabulous.
