I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Sis and I split up to wait at both entrances today, seeing how lone never knows how they handle the opening.

I am truly happy for Binkmartini getting her bag. As I said before, never jealous of any members here scoring at FSH. However, I do wish I had someone like her SA at least once. The SA sister had the first day was a little bit like that, and he was the only one who brought out the KP. So I can't help but think when the SAs rushes me to spit out my request, especially standing in the middle of the madness, i.e. right next to the appt manager and customers who are setting of their appts, I would be rejected.

And yes, I am aware there were many cases of customers getting their bags even when they did not look the best. But I do fit "over 40 and overweight" type mentioned here earlier. So ahem, perhaps it is true I am not the customer FSH wants.

And ladies and gents, Binkmartini was the prettiest girl on the queue that morning. :)

But I am too middle aged care about how other people think how I look. So no, it doesn't bother me if they really cared about me being "unpretty." So don't worry about me crying over that fact. It was just a part of many mysteries I am dealing with FSH.

Any luck today? I am rooting for you!

My husband is such a trooper! I almost gave up yesterday and was about to swear off my hermes bandwagon with complete conviction. First day, I was so upset by the line cutters who literally shoved and pushed their way through. Yesterday, our appointment time got moved to 6:50 pm (store closes at 7)! And so it was no surprise, we weren't offered a single thing even though it felt like we spent a whole day waiting. Third day's a charm. It certainly made a difference also that the line experience was civil and orderly this morning. Thank you everyone for this and to my DH for his perseverance. Resilience is sexy! Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure I spotted santa's sleigh ;0)

My advice is to choose FSH, the range will be wider than at GV. In my own experience, stock levels are low in Jan in Paris because of the Christmas rush so chances are not as high as in December. Best of luck for London also, only larger bags were available at Bond St yesterday.
Oh actually i will arrive in paris the first week january too so sad

Happy Holiday all dear tpf'ers!
I would like to first thank all who have contributed to this thread as I have learnt so much from it.
We arrived in Paris this morning after a very loooong flight. DH was amazing and said he would line up for me while DS and I had our breakfast. DH got an appointment for 11.45am but was told that there is no stock until January.
We joined him in the store after that and we had a very pleasant experience, all the staff were lovely, DS and I got to make the special origami at the Hermes Christmas museum on the top level and that was a wonderful experience.
Shall try our luck again and report back!
Merry Christmas everyone!
