Hugs from Paris.
I arrived at the store with my DH yesterday at 4pm and we asked the lovely SA downstairs for help cause we would like to buy a bag. My DH is Belgian but he was raised in Paris so he speaks French like a true Parisian. We spoke only French with SA and she made a phone call and the SA from leather department showed up within 1 min (without lining 2 h in the morning) While waiting I heared other custmares being denied an appointment (they were asking question is English, so I think the SA treat French customers differently). The lovely SA showed up after 1 min and we discussed what we are looking for. She took our name and passport and took notes on her phone. She then left to check the stock and got back after 7-10 min saying that they do not have anything available. My DH got really upset (he hates waiting and being denied what he wants) and started chatting with SA about H policy. She was very apologetic and explained that HAC (were looking for HAC 40 in Togo or canvas/barenia ) K and B are really sought after bags and that Hermes is making less and less of them, while they have increased the production of other model cause they are trying to push people to buy other products cause they are not making much of a profit on B nor on K.
Overall I am glad I did not waste more then 20 min at Hermes and I think I will try to purchase a vintage bag since I am looking for a specific one. FSH was extremely busy and I must admit that shopping with this crowd around takes all the pleasure away.
They don't make much profit on Birkin and Kelly bags? I would guess at least a profit of 80% on each bag? Maybe they don't consider that a lot of profit [emoji28]
I saw HAC 40 when I was in FSH in summer so it is possible to find. Good luck!

Apparently it cost them $800 to make a Birkin or Kelly (normal leather)

If you are still in Paris, go to Collector Square, Bd Raspail.
Here is their website, you can have a look at it and then go to their show room.
It!s not far from Hermès Sèvres.

Agree with this. They made my dream come true when I scored my Birkin.

I highly recommend speaking with Igor. He is such a joy to work with.

I have been reading this thread for quite some time. I'm usually a Chanel girl but I'm thinking about buying my first Hermes. I'm more into the classics (like everyone) and we are going to Paris in spring next year. We may try to adventure to see if we can score a B or K or both. Is it one per household or one per passport? Thanks in advance and congrats to everyone who got their dream bag.

It's at the discretion of the SA/SM. It's worth a try for both of you want both.

My friend and I arrived late night in Paris on Dec 24 and went to FSH in the afternoon of Dec 25. This is our first time in Paris and couldn't be more happier to visit the mother flagship store. The store was full of people and we were so late for making an appointment so my friend got an enamel clic H and a got a lizard CDC with a rush. Then on Dec 26, we decided not going to FSH because to make an appointment we have to get up so early. We went to George V store before our lunch. It's smaller compared to FSH but more historical that I feel. With the help of our sales, who is an elegant old lady, my friend got an imprevisible bracelet and I got my bleu electrique croc CDC. My friend asked for K and our sales said no K. Then we gave our passports to our sales to check out and get our tax refund form. After a while she came back with our passports and asked what specific K we were looking for. My friend said K 32 and then she asked in neutral colors or pop colors. My friend said pop colors. She looked at the system through her phone and I saw her eyeball moving up and down then I knew that they actually should have quite some Ks in store!! She told us that she has two, one in Bleu Paon and one in Jaipur both epsom. My friend preferred Jaipur to bleu paon. Our sales told us to go upstairs to wait for her. We were thrilled that my friend could get a bag without prior purchase history in this store! After 5 minutes our sales came back with the bag and my friend took it. I asked her if she has a k40 or b40 she said only small bags in this store. My friend chose a twill for her holy grail and we left happily with new K. My friend is still over the moon getting her bag now LOL

Congrats on your maiden attempt at George V!

@NanamiRyu, even though you did not get a Kelly, hope you had enjoyed rest of your stay in Paris an enjoyable one. [emoji4] Good luck in finding your Kelly in your home country.

Actually, I'm in US, so getting a K here isn't that difficult. You just have to buy other things and I'm sort of running out of those other things to buy, as they always say "non leather items." I've been in Paris about 20 times but still enjoy many parts of it. In fact, I am booked for another visit in the spring. :p

Actually SA indeed can see the stock of bags from their phone so checking are finding they are all shows

Of course I know that, lol. I just think the whole "checking" part is so silly, especially when the SAs I had this trip was prepared to say no to me from the start.

Thanks for sharing Nanami. I am surprised you had a hard time to find an herbag in Paris in three stores. It's really easy to get here in my home store and there are two sizes available for any walkins. I saw them right before Christmas.

The rodeo is cute and the Constance in your photo looks fabulous.

I was also very surprised how three stores in Paris had none. Herbag was supposed to be sister's back up bag when she gets turned down of her K requests. However, SAs were all saying they didn't see them for months.

Sis first got interested in getting one when we were at FSH in July. She was sitting down at one of the desks in the middle of the floor, which was shared with two other Asian ladies. Their SA came with a Herbag and showed it to them and sis, thinking she must be with the other ladies, lol. She thought it was cute and something she could carry it to work without anyone noticing it's a designer bag. But apparently, Paris is completely out of these bags this time around!

Perhaps it's the cheap price point that makes them sell out like hot cakes? It's €15xx, so prbably the cheapest Hermes bag. I wasn't aware how "cheap" it was till I was in Barcelona H last month and asked to see one. Sis was so happy she at least got her back up bag, lol. Well, even happier how she paid $1000 less than the States.

Not in Europe. Had to hunt my herbag through 3 countries... and was told that that my GM was the last one ever- don't know if that's true... but..

@NanamiRyu Munich has three Micro Kellys on display. perhaps give them a call?

Wow! Kellys on display? This makes me regret not heading Germany this winter, as I seriously thought about it before booking Paris. I hope you are having a fab time traveling!

@NanamiRyu I'm so sorry that you didn't find what you were looking for at FSH, but I - and I'm sure many others reading this thread - have really appreciated your detailed posts and positive attitude. Happy to see that it was still a fruitful trip and that you were able to get some goodies. I hope you and your sister both enjoyed your time in Paris!

Oh yeah, I loved my non leather SAs so it wasn't as if I only have bad memories of FSH. And most purchases were impluse buys but turned out great in the end. My new watch feels more like a bracelet, as I love anything hot pink, especially in exotic skin and sis now has a H bag she can actually carry to work. Thank you for you sweet words!

I think this translates as "SAs don't make commission on B and K" :p

I agree. If they don't make much profit out of a €8000 bag, nobody else in fashion is making profit.

I think they are for display only.

When I visited H in Rome back in October, they had 5 Micro Kelly's, KC, Rodeo charms on display but unfortunately not for sale...could be an isolated situation as they had just moved to their new store...

Anyway - I hope FSH is good to me in January. I will be in touch either way :)

I did not think that Hermès is open on Christmas (25th Dec) day. News to me, as I thought they were always closed on Sundays, with a few exceptions in the run up to the holidays.
