The SA in Cole Haan was really nice to me the other day when I bought a clutch. The LV SA's that I've talked to have been nice for the most part, but the security seems incredibly haughty...

Someone else mentioned in another thread that LV sales people are the rudest of any stores... I agree!

I was recently in the San Francisco LV and I was checking out a tennis bag (big tennis fan here). A nice young woman my own age came to help me find the price-tag. An older woman with a German accent came and said, "The racquet does not come with it." NO KIDDING, it's a plastic fake racquet without strings!

I'm like okay and so I pick up the bag to look in its different pockets and the woman repeated louder like I didn't speak English: "You won't get the racquet with the bag. The $2,500 does not include the racquet." Umm... seriously?

I hate being patronized. I feel like its the worst in LV stores! I think it's because I'm really, really nice and considerate to sales associates... often it seems like when you treat them like **** they're quick to do your bidding and are kind of beaten into submission!

Anyone else have similiar experiences in a LV store? I get great service at Chanel... maybe explains why I have more Chanel than LV. :sad2:

Dont let it bother you....just laugh to yourself about them because they are "WORKING" and you are "buying". they all seem to have an attitude. Like you are buying their private collection or something. in case you didnt know...they dont work on commission....probably cannot afford the products they sell and are envious of the customers who seem to spend what they make in two months. Believe me...you are getting the last laugh as they stand there with their faux superior attitudes.

I am so sorry for the recent experience, personally I prefer to shop online, people are so very helpful at eluxury and through 1866vuitton. Before the hurricane down here I would always shop at the lv boutique in new orleans and I never had to deal with a rude ***** of any sort.

THAT IS ALSO SOOOOOOOO VERY TRUE. I COULD NOT HAVE STATED THAT ANY BETTER.

A matter of fact..in the SF store! lol I felt like i was being followed around and yet they didn't say a word to me..I think it is actually humerous to have the SA think I have no idea what I am doing....and then prove them wrong ...when I start asking them questions and prucahse the items..the change on their face is priceless!

GOOD POINT! chances are they can't afford what we get.. and it KILLS THEM!

i'm going to have to agree with what intlset said, even though i'm an SA as well (i sell high-end appliances). the people we're complaining about are those that have treated us unfairly, and those people are not doing their jobs and deserve whatever treatment they get from the customers that they are insulting. i would never do or say the things that these SAs we're talking about do because i'm a professional in a place of business. i'm paid to perform specific duties and i respect that. those duties are friendliness and helpfulness. i'm not paid to be in a bad mood or have a bad day, and i'm certainly not paid to take it out on unsuspecting customers. they don't come in to talk about my feelings, they come in to find out about products. if these SAs want to keep their jobs, they should perform them for all customers.

i think working retail has made me harder on SAs, because good customer service is really not difficult. before i worked retail, i just assumed it must be horrible so i really couldn't blame them, but it's not. most people are at least cordial, if not very nice. i've had customers offer me as much as the free use of vacation homes, bring back food for my department, and come back to say hi and chit chat when they come back to look at something else in the store. people really aren't as freakishly horrible as most people in retail make them out to be.

I agree with you....but it has been my experience with the people only working in the LV stores or the ones working in Saks for LV...they ALL seem to have a really bad attitude. Not all Sales Associates working in other venues. are like that:amazed: ...Its different. But whenever I deal with a LV associate...its amazing how uppity and smug they are. It totally cracks me up. I feel like screaming..."hello...you are standing behind a counter and selling $1,000 handbags to me and I am buying and you are working for ten bucks and hour....and yet you have this crappy attitude!!? Is this a requirement for job placement??? I dont think so. If upper management is reading these boards...and who knows, they may....I hope they take note of this. Sometimes I wish I could say this to them..but I know I could never bring myself to stoop that low to be so rude.

Depends on who you get. Some craggy folks are not happy that YOU can afford LV babies while they simply can't. They get craggier and craggier, like aging trolls...
Just think, they start off as the guy or girl who stares with you with evil eyes as you walk through the mall with your new LV Speedy...and as time goes on they just get more and more bitter rather than doing about their life rather than just being crabby and craggy.
If the SA is really being a *****, then get their name and call/write the manager...

i've actually never been to an lv boutique. i only know of one near me which is in the neiman marcus at tyson's galleria. but i've heard they aren't nice so i'm gonna wait until i buy my chanel to go in there! :D

the sa's at chanel ARE SO NICE! i love going in there. they are incredibly helpful. except when i bought my sunglasses this kind of old asian lady was helping me and she was putting my information in the computer and it was sooooo wrong. like i think she put my phone number in the e-mail space. but i didn't have the heart to tell her because she was really sweet.

the people at saks aren't extremely helpful but they're not rude either. and i haven't really had bad experiences with workers at makeup counters. especially lancome because i always end up buying like 3 juicy tubes at a time  . at nordstrom's my sister was getting a little lesson for fun and the lady was so nice. we left my sister there for a while and when we came back the woman told me that my sister had told her about my chanel sunglasses and we started talking about them :amuse:

I've been to two different LV boutiques so far. One, the SA's seemed rather snobbish and at the other, they were totally different! Much nicer, much more patient, and much more helpful. It all depends on which one you go to and which SA you work with. I'm sorry to read about such bad experiences.

Sometimes the security are the nicest actually. I had one go out of his way to track down the manager for me!
