After receiving Bartholomew the Lion directly from Jay Strongwater, one thing is clear-the boxes have changed-period. Here's Bartholomew. It's unfortunate I cannot capture the true beauty of the crystals and coloration of this charm. It is nothing less than awesome!

It may be awhile, if I can wait, but my next charm will be the Bee and the flower. (I think). I love these charms!

You have lovely pieces! I would love to get my hands on Howie the Elephant, Buddha, the Peacock and the Chameleon. Unfortunately, I don't have $400 to spend on them!

Thank you for complimenting my lil JS collection. I'm not familiar with Howie the Elephant. I would definitely want to add him too. Is he discontinued? Can you post a picture of him?

It took me some years to finally add these pieces and I don't know why. I guess I was focused on the other stuff I was buying. My advice would be-take your time and just add a charm one by one until you've landed the ones you want. I'm going one by one starting with the ones I like the most first.

Thank you for sharing. Please stick around and share any knowledge of these lovely charms. When did they first appeal to you? Did you see them in person or online?

I only heard of his work through this post! I am a sucker for trinkets and shiny things.

There's the Neiman Marcus link to Howie the Elephant. The Buddha is composed of such lovely colors, as well. I actually just remembered that I do have a small enamel and crystal trinket box I bought in Vegas YEARS ago, akin to the style of JS. I'll do dig it out (and clean the dust off!)

Not sure of the maker but I love it nonetheless!

I just have to add that this was at a shop in Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas where they had Faberge eggs which the shop owner LET ME HOLD THEM. One of them was $60,000 and VERY heavy. My hands became immediately clammy and I held it for like, 10 seconds because I didn't wanna drop it lol This little guy was only $25 lol

Ok... I'd forgotten about the Elephant with the pretty balloon. Howie is a cute charm. Thanks for refreshing my memory. :flowers:

Thanks for sharing what you're calling a trinket box. It looks like some of the pill boxes I've looked at but of course one could use it for a variety of things. I'm convinced you like bling, So do I :woot::yahoo:

I'll bet holding the Faberge egg was a mind blowing experience.

Just received this cutie today. I have been wanting the Peas in the Pod charm for quite some time but always missed out for one reason or another. I finally got my hands on one and she arrived today. Here are a few pics on my Balenciaga black GSH Work. I'm already planning my next addition to the collection.

Duh... I forgot to tell you that the Pea charm looks wonderful on your bag! Your pictures are award winning! Thanks for sharing! :woohoo:

Thank you so much GLL:hugs: The quality and craftsmanship in these is just so nice and they are beautifully detailed. I just ordered teh Peacock a few minutes ago from NM. The zoo we are members of has tons of Peacocks running everywhere and my son just loves them. I figured I could wear it when we go there for visits and events and it would have great memories. OT but I hope you and your new pup are doing well:heart:

You are so welcome!

I am soooo enjoying collecting these charms. I know the ones that are "must haves" and I'm diligently working towards them. :graucho: I agree, the detail is so very nice. These charms are in a class by themselves. I like having a variety of charms/charm brands.

The Peacock sounds perfect for you especially since your son loves them and you all are members of the zoo! That charm is clearly a "must have!" The color will look great on a number of your bags as well as against a white t-shirt.

Thank you for asking about Max! He is so loving and so very loved. It's amazing to see my hubby so happy about a doggy.

I wish someone would make a Cocker Spaniel charm! I do have a 14K gold one though. :p

I am SO happy to hear Max is doing well and adapting to the family well:heart:

I broke down and ordered the Buddha charm today:blushing: Couldn't help myself. I love the flower "ball" charm on Sak's site as well. Do any of you have the Turtle charm? I saw it on Sak's and it doesn't have a clasp listed like the others and is cheaper but it's still in the charm section:confused1: I was wondering if there was anything different about it.

Max is a hoot!

You know... I've been admiring that FlowerBall charm myself. Didn't JC have a FlowerBall charm?

I just checked Saks to look at the Turtle. I recall looking at it previously and not understanding where the clasp was. It is strange how they pictured it. The Turtle I spoke of in the pm is the older version. ;)

Isn't it fun adding these wonderful charms?
