Michael Kors Is Michael Kors Dying down?

I live about an hour and a half away from Houston, TX and I see MK bags daily. My area has a couple of malls and decent shopping; the good stores all have MK in them. I love the price point for certain items and use them when I’m not using my LV. My MK bags are more care free and I love the colors!

After several years absence, I have bought 3 MK bags in the last month. The quality is good for the price point and the are incredibly functional.
The designs are very similar to premier bags, but work for my budget.
Which ones caught your eye? I really appreciate how the leather is free from logos these days. There are studs and grommets, but still quite an offering of minimalist designs as well. I still find myself lusting after bags like the jet set top zip tote, Ava, Sutton and Sloan, but I haven't been able to love the Mercer. Possibly because I have a small NS Cynthia and it's too boxy for me. I haven't bought MK in almost almost a year now, somehow I haven't connected with the new designs which all seem to be from the 'Mercer' line.

Getting back to the thread, MK is still very popular here in South America. I see at least one a day (Sutton, Cynthia, Selma mainly, with and without logos). They're still considered luxury bags here and are difficult to afford if bought locally. I still love every one of my MK bags, and enjoy switching between them. I'll probably get another top zip this year, I just need to decide on a colour. And I've been going back and forth on colours for months now!

I purchased the Raven tote. One in Oyster leather with chain handles, one in Cream small logo with gold metallic stripe and one jet set zip top tote in Silver. That one has little triangles instead of “MK” all over. Still on the fence about that one as it’s rather heavy and very stiff.
Out and about today, I saw about a dozen different styles and colors. Doesn’t seem to be losing any ground here.

If I sell any of my MK bags on ebay they sell quickly and usually for a halfway decent price. My Coach bags linger forever and you have to sell them for almost nothing to get them to move

MK leather goes quickly. As does the Jet Set Tote of any kind. Logo anything else not so much.
You’re right about most Coach. Unless it is THE popular bag, you can’t hardly give them away.

Agreed. So disappointed in Coach resale value. I have this gorgeous Borough bag that I spent $450 on and now I would be lucky to get $100!

How does everyone feel about MK getting rid of free shipping in lieu of signing up for MK VIP in order to get free shipping? I personally haven't bought anything from them since they switched to this VIP program. I don't need to be registered in yet another data-scraping membership these days. I'd rather go into a boutique or department store, even though the MK boutique near me almost never has the styles I liked online.

Since I’ve ordered online they already have most of my info so I didn’t worry about it.
Just bought 2 Mercer totes, one logo and one leather.
Returned the Coach I bought last week due to “puddling” when I took the stuffing out.
