Michael Kors Is Michael Kors Dying down?

Hi there! I'm a newbie on here, too! I struggled on my first few posts asking about authentication so I've learned how to upload pictures well haha. If you're using an app on the iPhone, you can upload pictures by tapping on the message you're wanting to "quote" or respond to and choosing the center option ie the option that isn't the camera icon or the [\] icon. You will be asked to allow TPF access to your photos and then, assuming you say yes, voila! You can upload pictures! It only allows so many at a time, though. If you go through safari or whatever browser you're using on your phone, you still quote to respond, but you have to choose "upload file". I think there were issues with how my pictures uploaded from my phone, too. I recommend using the app.

Thank you for your response! So sorry I just saw this! Didn't see the notifications!

They have not come up with anything really new and exciting for some time. Seems to be the same recycled colors, same styles. This may work for LV but brands like MK and Coach need to keep changing things up. I carry only medium satchels and small totes. Plus I hate the quality of the Mercer bags and the Savannah satchel looks nice but is just not functional for me. I have so many Selma's I am Selma'd out. The small Jet Set totes they have only on the MK site have gone down in quality with cheap lining

I don’t think they are dying down in the least especially what I saw on Black Friday ! The store was packed and it wasn’t just looky Loos there was a line at register for the SAs trying to ring the people up . I see tons of MK where I live way more then any other brand . I am not sure if it the price point that is what matters or the design but either way here it’s the king .

Here in Sydney I get the impression it's more popular than ever. It and Kate Spade are the most carried designers I see around. That said, MK costs an arm and a leg here (although obviously doesn't reach the level of premier designers) so it kind of maintains its aspirational prestige. People were going a bit nutso at the 50% off sale recently so no sign of dying down in Oz!

I definitely can see the hype in MK has died down... I used to see tons of girls on my Facebook/Instagram timeline showing off their “new Michael Kors bag” they got from their significant other, or for Christmas. Really haven’t seen much of those posts lately. I stayed away from MK for a long time and had little interest because I saw so many girls with the monogrammed bags (MK all over) and it really turned me off, hated the look of them. I much prefer a plain leather style bag.

I personally haven’t bought anything MK, but I see Ladies with MK here in CA all the time.
The question would be: are people buying new bags or just wearing bags they bought at the pinnacle of Kors’ popularity a few years ago?

One thing is certain, Kors is working hard to change its image and restructure its distribution channels to please its investors. Uphill battle in my opinion.

I have been an avid MK collector for the past years. In my opinion, what I have seen are people carrying mostly new bags. I’m glad that MK is restructuring etc. I have so many bags that I want to retain some value. The new bags and style have not appealed to me. I still love my Hamiltons, Selma’s, and Sutton’s.

I feel like women are carrying MK less here in Montréal and the resell value is going down. The availablity of men’s items here is very low so men rarely carry his bags. I recently picked up a brand new pale gold leather Mercer key pouch on Kijiji for cheaper than the price of a canvas one on sale on the MK website. It was a good deal for me but the fact that it is essentially a clone of the Gucci one makes it less interesting from a design perspective.
