Even more than the filling, it is important to lay your bags down to sleep, that is, on their sides, they do not like to go to sleep upright. If you do that every time you will extend the life of your bag tremendously. I do not recommend stuffed and standing upright.

Thank you bababebi
what would i do without you..
I saw your post and immediately sprung from my bed to lay them on their backs...
so i am guessing its best to keep them in the box as they came?

Yes the air pillows do eventually go. Roll of bubble wrap sounds like a great idea! The key is to have something light but filling. I used towel before but I personally found them to be heavy therefore left impressions on my soft leather birkin.

I am wondering if muslin baby clothes would work. i definitely have a ton ..

I have a question, is it ok to leave the bag inside their box just like they came in and with the plastic pillows inside for shape? After reading some of the comments i might have to go buy some towels to put it inside.

I am in the process of getting my first Birkin and am wondering what people do to keep the sides straight? Will an insert help with that? I prefer the straight sides to the slouchy look.

I will suggest choosing a birkin in Epsom rather than Clemence if you want a bIrkin that is rigid boxy and not slouchy

+1
I store my 5 years old epsom upright. I haven't used it in 4 years so it's been in storage all that time and the sides are absolutely straight store-fresh looking. Other softer leather will slouch slightly at the sides just because of the nature of the leather (one type of leather more than other) and gravity. Storing on its back helps but you need to determine how much slouch you're willing to live with. Togo, clemence, swift, etc. will slouch over time.

I would like to replace the tissue paper inside my hermes box.

Should I buy acid free tissue paper? Thx :)

Yes the original Hermes box and tissue is acid free so it's best to replace with similar. It would be terrible if the leather surface was damaged by a piece of paper.

Our drycleaner gave us a huge stack of acid free tissue paper used for storing wedding dresses.

Hi ladies!

I am not sure if this is the right thread but have you noticed that some Bs made recently have misshapen handles? I got mine and it looks a bit bent to the side?😳

Hi ladies,
Do you any tips on how to fit the Birkin in the box? I didn't even pay attention on how it was packaged when I got it and now I'm having a hard time fitting it in the box. The handles always seem to stick out. Right now it's laying down next to the box.

....I use this...

Lol, me too. I couldn't figure it out either. I changed the direction of the B in the box. If I thought it was supposed to be one way, I rotated it 90 degrees and it fit. Hope that make sense?
