Unfortunately, the game exists whether we actively play it or not. It’s not surprising to me that, even in London, you aren’t being contacted for a bag without being a repetitive client, especially for a size 25. The demand right now is just too high. I also don’t think it will matter which store you choose to place your wish and would expect many more wishes to go unfulfilled but would recommend sticking with the same store as at least you seem to have a contact there (though hounding them for a quota bag is probably hurting more than helping).Tbh I don’t play the Hermes game and I only buy what I really want so Ive probably bought a couple of Twilly’s thats about it
Thank you for your quick reply. Personally I don’t believe in spending hard earned money on items I don’t need. I would say I do like my SA and Ive never hounded her for a bag as I don’t have the time but I do get in touch when my wish expires….looks like I’ll have to cross my fingers and my toes and hope the H fairy visits me soonUnfortunately, the game exists whether we actively play it or not. Agreeing with @acrowcounted. The stock is super limited in London right now and they are prioritizing regular clients that have wishes. I was told February may start to look better.Thank you for your quick reply. Personally I don’t believe in spending hard earned money on items I don’t need. Wait, I’m confused. You got a K28 gold with GHW just last year through the wishlist system and you are expecting more bags without ever spending on anything else?Hi I wanted some advice as I don’t know if its just me or if others have had a similar experience. I usually shop at the NBS store and have renewed my wish perhaps 3 times (Ive been on the wish list for 2 years) for a B/K 25, every time I make contact with my SA its always the same answer, leather supply is short, there’s no guarantee…..blah blah…my wish has expired so I’m wondering if I should go elsewhere or if this is the norm in London….any advice will be appreciated
This sums up the situation perfectly. Hermes is a business. Why would they sell the limited most desirable quota bags to new/one off clients who just want a b/k/c and have little interest in spending money on other products?I shop at a H store in London and have done for several years. I get offered a quota bag consistently every 6 months. I don't keep track on what I spend in between bag purchases but I buy RTW, shoes, scarves and homeware and I purchase very consistently but only buying what I love. If my 'wish' hasn't arrived I am usually offered something else in my preferred sizes until my wish arrives. I would find it hard to believe that anyone in the UK is offered a quota bag every single year or more frequently without significant spending. As others have said, the demand in the UK is so high at the moment. My SA has told me that even many regular clients will be disappointed over the next 2 years as demand outweighs production. SAs will generally only be offering sought after sizes and colours repeatedly to regular clients IMO.
Thanks for the update. I agree that they should just say from the outset if there are no bags available rather than waste peoples time as it just gets frustrating for clients who in turn will be frustrated with SAs.Some tidbits from my recent visit to CP:
- If you get your wish granted and accept it, you now need to wait for 2 months before you can place a new wish (apologies if someone has already posted this before);
- So many people were asking for bags of all kinds (non-BKC), and always got the same immediate answer (after waiting in the queue for a while until their turn): ‘Sorry, we don’t have any bags or KTGs or CTGs in stock at all’. The SAs didn’t even bother to check the stockroom. 1 guy got annoyed and said ‘i’ve been here 3 times now and always get told the same thing!’; If the nonexistent stock level is true, why don’t the hosts at the door just tell people that when they say they’re there for bags? Would save them all the queuing time;
- 1 couple was after B/K and was advised by the SA to ‘try France instead’ (he didn’t even tell them about the wishlist system here);
- No photos are allowed in the leather room.
I was actually in CP on Thuraday to place a wish list and overheard the SA saying that most bags on the website are gone within seconds due to people using bots. So H is aware of this issue but I am not sure why nothing is being done (or maybe nothing could be done?)Thanks for the update. I recently downloaded the little red book app and there are posts on there with stock updates for all of the H websites. From what I can see, it seems that China, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia get really good stock online with popular NQ bags like the Picotin 18, mini lindy all in neutral and sought after colours. Where as I have been checking the H UK website most days and the stock appears very limited. Maybe H are focusing more on the Asian market as these countries come out of strict covid restrictions.
It is fairly difficult to get one without prior history and off the street. But you can always try to do it first thing in the morning at the store opening as they try to allocate some to people who are fairly new to the brand too. Good luck!Hiya does anyone know if it’s worth trying to get an Everlyne Mini at the London H’s….would love to get one but don’t rly want to go on a wild goose chase
