Hermes boutiques in London

I know Chanel wanted the Asprey (167) building but lost out to H so that 'musical chairs' makes sense. Must kill them that they will have to pay Hermes rent though

It will be great for London actually.
I believe Chanel owns the building H are currently in and H owns the Asprey building which is why they’re moving there. Also, hopefully they’re going to have an artisan back in store too. It won’t be for a few years though but it is happening.

Hi everyone! When I made my wishlist at NBS and the SA told me I could make another one anywhere else I lived and shop elsewhere too. I discovered the Garden Party and really like it so I am thinking of going to my local boutique in the south west of France to buy it through my mum for Christmas. I am wondering if it will hurt my already extremely low chance of getting my wish (Birkin 35) and therefore I should wait after my wish expires? I have 0 purchase history/no previous spend and don't want to play that game. Thank you!

The limit of bags is only generally speaking for quota bags ( any BKC ). Even though there have been reports of H limiting sales of the non BKC bags it’s more to do with the limited supply/high demand issues rather than a policy per se. Also I suppose it doesn’t look good for an individual to be purchasing multiples of one bag in view of their concerns with resellers . ( but this would be identical bags in identical colours and in relatively large quantities which is quite unnatural , and not applicable in this context).

Just think about you purchasing the garden party akin to you purchasing a sought after H silk scarf or leather belt from south of France . No SA in London or any home store would mind .

I thought I’d read on here a while back that all SAs have access to bags to offer their clients irrespective if they’re aligned to fine jewelley, scarves, etc. I’ve been with my SA for 10 months now and I’ve been quite a regular client in that time, but I’ve never been offered any bag and my SA has hinted that she doesn’t know much about bags. Is that likely? I’m happy to be patient as I’m sure lots of people want bags at my home boutique but I’m not sure what she says tallies with what I’ve read here.

Which boutique do you shop at?

In this thread we’ve been posting about our differing experiences regarding wishlist fulfilment (I assume you’re talking about QBs). Some of us, myself included, from our personal experience, believe that the offers are decided and made by the SM only and the SA is not involved in any way/does not have any say. Then there are some who say their SAs played a part in getting their offers. It might depend on the boutique, or maybe the SAs only tell you that they ‘helped get you this bag’ when in fact they have no say in the process, who knows? It’s a mystery at H!

Thanks, I’m talking about non-QB too. I’ve been asking my SA for a GP since Jan, I’ve mentioned my interest in an Evelyne and I have a wishlist of other items that we discussed and she noted across shoes, hats, fine jewellery, scarves, etc., but I only ever get offered items from the section that my SA works in, hence my question.

I think it also depends on stock on the day, my SA will let me know what is in stock that day and it does vary every day. So it is a bit of luck to be honest. I think the SM or a different team decides who gets quota bags but the SA can have some influence. You have to remember your SA sees many people a day, perhaps make an appointment with them beforehand and remind them what you are looking for when you visit the store.

My advice would be to make an appointment with your SA early in the day..NOT on a weekend because weekends are just a zoo.
And actually ask to shop the other sections there and then..be proactive don't wait for her to contact you regarding wishlist items.
If you want shoes go in ask if they have what you seek and if not ask her to make an alternative suggestion perhaps?
some SA's do 'specialise' in certain departments ...but they can and do cross sell.
good luck!

Thanks for the advice! Have been doing this - making an appointment for first thing on a weekday morning as it’s so much quieter, I find. However, everything I ask to see is always out of stock and the only items my SA manages to reserve for me are items in her department.

I thought it could it because when things come in from the area she works in, she remembers I’ve asked for it, but may not have time to check stock of other items cross-department often given how busy the SAs always are.

I hate to say..items often seem to be out of stock, thats why so many clients end up buying online.
I wanted some shoes for ages and by the time they actually appeared in my size I realised I no longer wanted them.
Competition is fierce in all the boutiques now especially for popular items...have you asked her if she could do a store transfer for you if one of the other London stores have what you want?

Yes, she’s been lovely at every appointment and has offered to do a store transfer for an item but it’s been 6 weeks so not sure if that will turn up either. Only Harrods had it in stock so not sure they do store transfers with Harrods.

I’ve bought the things I didn’t want to miss out on from H.com and now I’ll just have to be patient with going in every so often and hoping to get lucky with the rest. I’m out of season for a few items already, like a bikini and sandals
