I just like it when we get such positive comments.
Let's try and big up the positive experiences shopping in London and play down on the negatives.
I think that's uncalled for. I shared my experience to help other members understand what was told to me as policy. Sharing only positive experiences will never be a true reflection of any shopping experience - anywhere.
Folks like you piling on have ensured that I and probably others will never share anything so personal on tPF again.

I'm sorry that I struck a sore point with you.
If you recall I was supportive of what you wrote and more importantly your credibility.
That still does not alter my position that the general good service that people experience should be balanced against the bad incidents. It is all too easy for some people to sound off with destructive criticisms.
Perhaps the phrase 'Folks like you piling on' is equally discouraging to anyone wishing to express an opinion contrary to what appears to be the general trend.
My comment here was to encourage the positive that is often taken for granted and not expressed.

Shout out to the service and care at Bond St. They have always been kind and attentive and the SAs have always kept their word to me. Issues have been resolved beyond my expectations and the craftslady is a sweetie. They may have new bag collection policies, but hey no worries. I have family and friends who are happy to offer help. My Christmas present, bought at 2018 price, brought home by DH to me in Jan 2019.

Did they allow you to pay for the bag over the phone in 2018? That would be amazingly handy! And of course, we are all now dying to learn about your present too.

No it was done by bank transfer and a good friend collected and kept it for me. My DH flew in for other business but managed to bring it back for me. Staying on topic, I am not sure if this new policy applys only to this store or across the U.K.

Is it on topic to ask what the new collection policies are? Assume these apply to all UK stores in that case?

Thanks to everyone who shares any experience here.
you need to check with the store you are buying / collecting from. There is no blanket country wide policies as such. And different clients will have different experience.

I agree on the reply to your query and yes I think it is on topic. If I find out more from the others stores I will share.
