Does anyone know what is the current price tag on B30 in BF? I was just offered one (pick up on Aug 28). Much appreciated!
Well back in April of 2021 it was $12,300 and I haven't seen much of a price increase so you're looking somewhere in that neighborhood. For the latest in pricing check out current price thread under Shopping. Congratulations on the terrific offer, what color is the hardware?

Thank you! I am so excited!!! I was super surprised by it as it took less than a month to get the offer (but to put it into perspective I did have a heavy $$$ run rate with them this month between three trips that I made to the store). So I am still processing the very thought of it! I have three other quota bags (K28 Epsom Rouge Sellier GWH, B30 Black Epsom GHW, and B30 Togo Gris Mouette PHW), but I purchased them all in giftable condition from FASHIONPHILE, so this is my very first B from the store itself, hence the euphoria (especially given that it is exactly what I wanted to add to my line up)! My next one on the list is K28 Epsom Blue Saphire GHW and then K28 Epsom Craie Rose GHW!

It is fauve color with gold hardware ❤

Hi everyone!

Long time lurker but coming out of the shadows for your expert advice on the BF please. I have a B30 in gold togo. It’s such a classic color (and I liked it) but months later, I have yet to use it. I feel like it lacks… something. Then I saw the BF in fauve and I realized it was the richness of the color that I was missing!

I’ve read the first 20 pages of this thread and the last 15. I have A few questions:
1. I’m not gentle with my bags. My SA was appalled to find a pen mark on one of my bags. I shrugged it off however my quirk is that I can’t stand uneven discoloration. Is this part of the aging process?

2. From this post, I gather that the aging process is not the same? For some it darkens and for others it becomes a “Sheen?”

There seems to be a lot of unpredictability in with BF in fauve. If I am not gentle and I like predictability, is this bag for me? Note that i haven’t used my gold! But when I saw the fauve, i immediately knew what I was looking for! It is available and I have to make up my mind soon! TIA :)

Based on your description I would say BF is not for you - if you like it now (brand new) it will become a very different thing over time and with use (which is dependent on how much time and use, therefore less than predictable). Yes it gets darker and does develop a patina. It’s a very different leather than Togo. I LOVE my BF Halzan but that particular bag’s function in my collection lends itself to BF (casual, workhorse, travel, etc.). I decided when I bought it that I wouldn’t sweat anything that happened to it, and that was a good decision because things have definitely happened!

It sounds like you feel about your gold B the way I feel about my Etoupe K. I find that I have to “force” myself to take it out, but then once I do I remember why I bought it in the first place. (Also it responded quite well to being cleaned with hand soap in a restaurant bathroom after an unfortunate incident with my dog - I cannot even imagine what BF would look like in such a circumstance….)
