Definitely try the cure again, stain will continue to fade. Then why not remove the plastic on the hardware and really enjoy the beauty of your bag.
I know, it really is time to remove the plastic. Funny because I actually bought more plastic (aka “protective” stickers) to cover the hardware right back up.
Don’t do it. Rip those bad boys off!

I agree! I am totally in the camp of removing those stickers as soon as I get home. Then I feel like the bag is truly mine.

Btw, I did not apply more cornstarch to the oily spot. I figured I’d let it be and eventually it’ll blend in. Or I’ll look back fondly on my beach vacation every time I see that spot. :happydance:She’s mine now!

I recently bought a beautiful BF kelly bag. i love it so much, but over the weekend, a little boy knocked beer over my bag and i was appalled!! thankfully i got everything out by dabbing water on the stains, or so i thought.... today, i noticed that the edges of my bag are also darkened/stained. i wonder if it was because of the beer, or just regular wear and tear. but then, i've had the bag for only one month and it seems like it's too soon for the bag to start looking weathered??

don't get me wrong, i still love my kelly and it'll be fine even if that's the way the bag should look, but i wonder if it's a dirt stain or if it's wear and tear. i've tried dabbing water on it but it doesn't clear the stain, but i haven't tried corn starch. i also tried a leather cleaning liquid but it didn't do anything...

i thought it'd be worthwhile sharing here for others to share their opinion or feedback. are the edges of your bags also darkened with time?

thanks for reading!!

Only the uneven colouring is bothering me. I have a taurillon clemence Lindy and a Bolide in Epsom but never experienced the uneven colouring. Is this one of the characteristics of BF leather?

Oh... and I have stained my bag when I took it out for the photo! I forgot I put hand cream on
Were you able to take the stain out dear? I am interested in this leather but wondering how hard it is to get out stains :(

I am afraid to get one as I heard that make up like lip gloss, lipstick or in your case hand cream or oil cannot be taken out. Wondering if H spa can treat it when the time comes?

It’s from 2018, regularly used. It’s got a mark from an incident in a restaurant: a stack of dirty cutlery landed on it, all the grassy stains went away except that tiny mark. I love this bag, it’s amazing!

How did the marks go away? I would think oil would be hard to get out? Did you treat it afterwards with something dear?
