I know it can be confusing with different leathers called similar names, but this thread is for Barenia Faubourg only.

lol i’m sorry if i got too excited responding to you. You need to use your B25!! I used to have the mentality of “I need a low key and bigger bag for everyday use” but then I realized that would just be me spending more money and I do often gravitate towards the B25 than my other purses. For me the B25 isn’t even that small, I end up carrying more. I use a fourbi pouch inside so now it looks more stuffed but if I take thr fourbi pouch off I bet I can fit more in it. I just use a separate bag for my laptop, etc but my B25 contains my personal stuff, does that make sense? My first offer for the barenia faubourg was actually the 30cm and I found it too big for my daily use. Your primary concern is probably just using one bag for yourself and your kids’ stuff on a daily basis, but how would you feel carrying a tote bag for your kids and your B25 for yourself?

I like how BF looks in size 30 because it’s slouchy and more casual. I have B25 sellier in box leather and I couldn’t think of a better combo because it’s my special occasion and go out bag. While I don’t use B30 much, I plan to start using it more for work and travel in future. But I think it’s about personal preference and how much stuff you need to carry around. Also would you be fine with kids grabbing your BF Birkin with dirty hands or accidentally spilling something on it? I don’t have kids but I never take my H bags if I go out with girlfriends who have toddlers/young kids because I know kids are clumsy sometimes 😅

Keep your B25. You will get to use it. B25 and B30 is not an even trade. And you already have another B30.

I have both sizes in BF.

I loved my B30 BF PHW and had used it a lot in the past. But I have been using mostly B25 and B35 these days for my need. Your need will change too.

To be honest, I actually hated the GHW on my B25 BF initially. (Long story about why we bought it.). Then I think I grow to love it these days and I would reach out to it more than my few other B25s. Definitely one of my favorite leathers.

I have never let go of any bag yet. So please consider that as the context. The two bags might look similar in spec. But a B25 and B30 have different purposes in my day to day. At the current point in time, I have the least use of a B30. But that might change.

I do believe both will remain in my collection for the next 10 years.

Re a trade of a B30 for a B25. even if both are BF, the trade would be hard to quantify, but 1:1 is not fair.
ETA: just realized @meowlett made this point a upthread.

I have a gold B30 swift and a gold B25 sellier, and they are entirely different. I’d keep the B25 bc your kids will not be toddlers forever, and as I get older I prefer a lighter, smaller bag.while bags are trending larger these days, I find it’s best for me to stick with the size that I naturally gravitate towards. I do not find a B25 all that small either.
