I received an offer from SA for the first B35 BF, but the date stamp started with ASA (means 2017 ). I need your opinion on whether it is acceptable or not. I know the bag is so gorgeous.

For me, the date code is a non issue... If you love the bag and plan to use it, don't worry about the date; just enjoy!

It’s from 2018, regularly used. It’s got a mark from an incident in a restaurant: a stack of dirty cutlery landed on it, all the grassy stains went away except that tiny mark. I love this bag, it’s amazing!

Great to hear! I was planning on gold togo but decided to just get barenia (if it comes hehe). Just curious how much the colour will change over time....

Hello I have seen a gorgeous BF beauty and would appreciate advice on care... am I right that you absolutely should not get it wet in the same way as box? (Although smooth barenia can get wet). Just checking I have understood this correctly.
do you BF lovers use leather conditioner or anything to develop the patin?

@ChanelMadness0098 - that’s wrong about wet. Some have said it’s somewhat less tolerant of rain than smooth Barenia but I have had no issue with drops drying just fine.

Personally I always follow H directions on leather care which is Use No Products and take to spa when TLC is needed.

BF can get wet ( VERY wet!!) with no worries. It will patina over time as well, but may be more subtle than the fauve, as will the marks/scratches. HTH

Yes, it is a fantastic leather, smells amazing, and is very carefree. My only BF bag (and am going to add at least one more) is a Halzan. The combo is an amazing travel companion.

Question - I don't understand why some people say they've heard that BF is less water-friendly than smooth Barenia... Was there a post (or multiple posts) on PF where people talked about issues with their BF + water? If so, can somebody point me to it??? Would be interesting to read about others' experience!

Personally, I've been using my BF B30 for 3 years now, on and off, been caught in mild drizzly weather with it, and have had zero issues. It reacts the exact same as my smooth Barenia bag, which is to say not at all.

It's a perennial discussion with no right answer. Both are great, with different looks and feeling. The standard answer is "gold is classic, more formal look, PHW more fresh and modern".
Get what you like and what will work for you.

it’s strange because with gold Togo I prefer GHW definitely but I think because the barenia is a slightly darker colour the PHW cuts through it a bit more and looks fresher
