I know it can be confusing with different leathers called similar names, but this thread is for Barenia Faubourg only.

I know this isn’t much consolation but a fellow customer had her new BF with her at lunch and accidentally spilled the entire gravy boat filled with salad dressing on her bag. SAs are quite confident that it will blend into the leather’s patina naturally.

[emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] I would have just melted in horror. That is the worst! My SA said the same. If this talk of blending away into a beautiful patina is true, *fingers crossed*, then this BF leather really is a [emoji882] . Thank you for sharing. I am even more grateful my stain is minuscule. Promise I will let you all know how it develops over the next few weeks. [emoji173]️

Would you suggest sending to the spa soon or just letting the patina happen and spa in a year or so on regular schedule?? Thank you again!

To be honest not sure of the point of a spa on a new bag and depending on your store, they may reject it. It is also hundreds of dollars. An sa in my home store did this when a woman tried to submit a bag... to me it felt like the customer was trying to get her bag authenticated through a spa.... and the sa wasn’t having it. My store is very very busy though, others may have a different experience.

Again as I and many posters have stated - relax and enjoy your Bag’s evolution.... and if you find you are someone who doesn’t enjoy the changes and inevitable scuffs - no judgement - then rehome her....

I was looking at my etoupe bag the other day and relishing how floppy it is getting. I look at my barenia and am delighted with how the color is deepened and the minor scuffs show that I love and use my bag. This is me though....

Thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to reply. I was ready for the changes and minor scuffs, but just kick myself for letting a little drip stain happen *darnit*. I do believe it will eventually blend in and you are right, a full spa visit would be excessive for a new bag with such a minor little flaw. Can’t believe people actually use that as an authentication mechanism geesh!
