It’s starting to subtly get more of a copper(?) tone to it over time. The pics don’t quite capture the color accurately. I’ve noticed the softening as well...which is fine, I love a floopy Birkin. This is all happening despite her not being used as much as you’d think. Maybe once or twice every two weeks or so. Very light use as I rotate my other bags into use.

The speed at which she’s evolving is surprisingly quick.

Thanks for the description. Although it looks to have softened it still seems to have good structure, if that makes sense? Mine is still in the stiff phase. Ive carried mine all week to work for about a month but it’s only outside for approximately 30 seconds so that’s probably why I haven’t seen as much of a development.

Please do relax! I have the smooth barenia and a week after receiving her, dropped a huge dollop of curry on to create a big grease stain. A year later, after an immediate spa visit, the patina in full swing and no one would know. She is richer and more beautiful by the minute and yours will be too!

I just thought of something and wanted to ask if you wouldn’t mind sharing... when your sent your barenia to spa... do the bags come back with their stitching still white? I ride and have saddles and know with cleaning the lovely white stitching eventually fades to brown. Wasn’t sure what process Hermes employs to clean these bags while also keeping the stitching white. [emoji4]
