I use a hairdryer to heat and actually melt the Renapur on the sponge, then I apply it to the whole bag. I will also very carefully make a few passes with the hairdryer over the bag. I let it rest for a few days to completely absorb and then buff my heart out.

Here's an example of the result. Red Basic Bag.

Wow! This is amazing! Thank you for sharing.
When melted, does Renapur's texture change like a regular oil (runny)? If so, should I work with it quickly as in spreading it on leather surface quickly? I'm wondering whether loose texture of Renapur is harder to control and may create stains (like oil stains) depending on the color of the leather?

Coach Ritchie 9937. My first bottle green bag. She was a mess! Missing a strap and tag but she’s gorgeous now and will look beautiful with a gold chain strap.

Didn’t wash. She actually smells fine and wasn’t dirty just really dry and patchy. Multiple torn piping areas. Did a condition and color refresh. I’m amazed at my paint mixing skills. Used a bit of evergreen, golden yellow, black, and light green. Did multiple coats of CPR and let dry. Patched the torn piping with fibings leather adhesive. One of the easiest bags to refresh as there is minimal brass to work around. 26 before S&H.

Yes, the Renapur melts on the sponge like butter. It makes it lovely to work with and doesn't stain. Just massage a small amount into the leather using a circular motion. It will continue absorbing it over the next couple of days. Then buff with some elbow grease. :flowers:

I'm pretty sure I debated this very bag for a while. I decided I shouldn't as I didn't know if I could save it or not. You did such an amazing job, so glad somebody could make this useable again. It is beautiful!

Funny this isn't even my bag, but this just made my day lol!! I love this group.

Would Basic lovers please advise on reshaping?

I need to redunk because I can't get them to reshape correctly. I can't stuff them to get the main panels straight.

What is the problem with the shape? Is it wrinkled or creased or dented or just off-center or off-balance? Can you post pictures. Below are a few methods I've used to reshape difficult bags.

Sometimes steaming a bag helps me to reshape a bag; here's some information about steaming:

I used counterweights to stretch and shape this wrinkled Dinky:

I weighted, stuffed, counter-balanced and stretched this Legacy Straw Bag during drying to get it shaped properly:

Wow that’s crazy! Yes it’s not perfect but I like them to show a little wear because I believe in the whole this bag has seen some s**t aesthetic but also hey I’m still gorgeous too! The bottle green is almost black. Even those photos struggled to show the color. My main struggle was not turning it into a comical Joker green.

I’m glad I could make you happy with my work! Truly love doing this.
