Veneers aren't expensive as many people think anymore. I got veneers a few months ago and the total was only $4500 (10top and 10 bottom). There is however two versions of veneers, I got the resign but the porcelain ones cost like 15k. I love mines though! & I didn't get any shaving done to my natural teeth either.

I had a friend who wanted her eyes lifted in the worst way. She couldn't afford to go to a PS so she went to an opthalmologist who said he could do it. He didn't do such a great job. She couldn't hold tears in as the lower lids were apparently pulled down too much. She was miserable. IMO you don't mess around with your face (or in this case teeth which are on your face). Same thing with Botox parties. Who knows where this stuff comes from?

I applaud those that get veneer, nice looking one.
My dentist hate me - 20 years of seeing him and not a cavity, filling or any other dental work (besides wisdom tooth extraction). But I'm also SO SO serious about my dental health, I go quarterly for cleanings- LOL

Porcelain lasts years longer than resin. If they didn't reduce anything on your teeth how did anything fit over them? In order to fit something on a tooth, it either needs to be broke so it can be built back up to the size it was.....or reduced in size so it can be built back up. You can't fit something over a normal size tooth, there isn't room.

Im confused too.
Must be those no prep veneers that are just popped on with some bonding

I saw a clip last night of A Rod smiling (laughing? grimacing?) at Jennifer Lopez on stage and all I can see are teeth he wasn't born with. They are so distracting. Some people get the nicest veneers and many get denture look-alikes. Someone tell me why. Is it the ability of the dentist?

Eek!! :amazed::biggrin: That scares me. Why does that happen? My aunt's veneers have stained. I guess because of coffee?
