bags that DON'T work for you

1) Hobo bags. It feels like a black hole to me, with things one above the other.

2) drawstring bags. I can't tie/untie every single time I want a piece of tissue!

3) Heavy bags. I carry my child's home water bottle so it feels like a kitchen sink.

4) Black bags. I have not had a single black bag for years..

5) Mini bags.

5) Bags with chains. Can't stand the weight + noise when I put them down.

Crossbodies. I know there are many people who love crossbodies for their utility and comfort, but I find them so so so uncomfortable. Not sure if it's my shoulders or posture, but crossbodies tend to really dig into my shoulders. Even when I wear them as shoulder bags, they hurt a lot more than if I were to transfer the same items into a tote. I've recently purged all my crossbodies (except for the really mini ones that hold nothing more than a phone and wallet and sunnies).

Shoulder bags. I think my shoulders are really sloped and narrow, so pretty much all straps slide down and off! I prefer top handles or cross body bags for this reason.

I avoid bags w/ significant hardware due to a severe metal allergy (nickel, brass, copper). Even zippers and coins have started to give me a rash . I may have to give up using my cute zip pouches and wallets.. soo be bummed.

Louis Vuitton Flandrin ...it was a mission to carry it without my stuff spilling out when using the strap. It sucks that the interior was suede also so I have to be extra careful when carrying things inside.

So yeah, that style didnt work for me.

I'm going to add that bags that are strictly handbags don't work for me either unless it's a special occasion clutch or something. I need a shoulder strap. I have a gorgeous bag that I absolutely love but have only carried it once because it does not have a strap and it's pretty heavy empty, let alone with stuff in it; it's also a big(ish) bag so I feel compelled to fill it.

Such a beautiful bag and investment, Cherry! Why do you regret it? Did you get it authenticated? [emoji4]
Yes, I got it authenticated through bababebi. It's just not fitting to my lifestyle. One main reason is how large it is compared to my body (I'm quite petite, at 5'4). Another reason is because there's no shoulder strap, and I have not realized how important it is until I got the Birkin. All leather = much heavier than all my LV canvas bags

Ah, I see- I do love the black with the GHW combination! Perhaps a 30cm would suit you more [emoji4]
