The only reason I would join is because it says you have the option to purchase aka "steal" any bag you borrow for a discount. There are a few LE bags there that are hard to find in stores or on ebay... I have thought of joining for one month just to borrow then "steal" the bag.

I wonder how much the discount is for buying a bag you borrow.

I have a feeling once the bag is in your hands and you see the condition it's in, you won't want to "steal" it anymore... :push:

This website is a good idea in theory, but doesn't end up working out quite right. Like most people said, the most wanted bags are waitlisted for ages and ages and the condition of a borrowed or "stolen" bag is not going to be good at all. People tend to be so hard on stuff they don't actually own. Kind of how rental cars are abused so heavily. Poor pretty bags.

Just wondering what people think of Bag Borrow or Steal. If you love it, are you a member? If you love it and you're not a member, why not? If you hate it, why? Is it some kind of principle thing?

I personally love the idea but think the execution kind of stinks. I always think it sounds like such a great concept but then I go look at the website and don't like *any* of the bags they have.

The costs to be a member for the highest level of bags is obscene. Additionally, I don't like the idea of using a bag that has been used for who-knows-what before, even if it still looks new. I'd rather save the monthly membership fees and buy my own.

Frankly, I cannot imagine borrowing a bag that has been...who knows where. While I could see buying a pre-loved bag, renting one seems ......well....unseemly.

Besides, I would rather save up and own what I desire.

hmmm if i'm rich enough maybe it's good to enrol for practical-daily-use-try-out kind of thing? just in case there's buyer regret. though on the flip side if i'm really RicH enough i will just get any bag i like to try right haha :graucho:

i wound never try it out...i would rather use the money for a bag to buy from a store than to pay to borrow it or pay for a bag that has been borrowed by who knows how many ppl...
