Found this in a thrift store and wondering if it’s authentic. The creed says D9P-9077. I’m not familiar with this model but the two different zipper styles and the one being super yellow gold has me questioning. Thanks in advance! image.jpgIMG_0071.jpegIMG_0073.jpegIMG_0069.jpeg

The pocket purse is authentic.

The bag trying to be a court bag is fake.

Good evening experts. Is this real and is that color Khaki? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I got this backpack on shopgoodwill. https://shopgoodwill.com/item/181168548 I was waiting for the bag to arrive so I could photograph the creed for you--they didn't show one. The creed patch is really worn. Thank you for an opinion on authenticity!

Item: Authentic Vintage Coach Black Leather Drawstring Buckle Backpack
Size: Big! Seller says 15 x 12 x 5. Serial L8C-9064.

It's genuine but whoever stamped it screwed up the serial number, I keep seeing 9564. The only info on 9064 is in the 1999 Preview paper catalog, p21, (prices valid til June 30, 1999) which I don't think we have saved in the catalog thread and I don't have a scanner.

"NEW" Legacy Backpack, #9064, $338.center zip compartment, inside pocket. Adjustable back straps. 11 1/2 x 13 x 5 1/2. Mahogany with Nickle, Black with Nickle"

The only postable pic I have:

Thank you. That's interesting. "Center Zip Compartment." This bag doesn't have that. ? It's wide open inside, with an inside zip pocket along the back wall.

Maybe they were originally planning on a zip compartment and changed their minds. Or couldn't tell the difference between a pocket and a compartment.

My own personal opinion is that most of Coach's middle and upper management, facing the possible loss of their jobs with the upcoming skedaddle to China, probably spent much of the late 1990s whacked out on all kinds of controlled substances to ease their pain. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. Here's more proof if it's needed:

Strange things were happening at Coach as the turn of the Millennium drew near...
