Just purchased this at my local thrift shop. I’m having doubts the font just looks off to me :/(
Measures 8 x 8 x 4 with an adjustable strap

The creed is hard to read but I think I'm reading the serial number as L5S-9966. If that's the number (or even if I'm reading the prefix correctly), it's fake. I agree that the whole bag looks "off."
I agree.

Hi again,

Would appreciate an evaluation of this bag; the creed/serial looked like it might be ok to me comparing with others on this thread that were marked authentic, but want to make sure as I would love to restore it better if real (the hardware, which was just turned around out of place and easily put back made me wonder a little as well; I was unsure of the inside pocket, too - creed is stronger than the serial so let me know if there is any issue reading). Thank you!

Have in-hand, pictures below.

Hi Authenticators,

I purchased this bag from Savers, and would like to know if it's authentic. It measures approx. 13 in x 8.5 in, with a 9.5 in shoulder strap drop. Thank you!

Good evening, all,
Can someone help authenticate this daypack for me?

I ordered this daypack from Poshmark and it looks like the seller may have accidentally uploaded a picture of the wrong creed. The bag I received is stamped made in Costa Rica while the picture in the listing is stamped made in The United States. I see that she had two daypacks listed so they may have gotten switched. The rest of the pictures match. I've attached them below. Thank you very much in advance. : )

Both photos show genuine creeds. The H5C- bag was made in 1995 and the F1P- bag in 2001.l

Hello again ! I bought this Coach bag while perusing the new section on Poshmark, saw a color(pink) I thought was really rare and had maybe? seen before on the old school vintage Coach bags. I wanted to get it before anyone else snatched it up to sell at a good profit, and thought that if it wasn't real I could just return it once I receive it since I don't want to post or sell anything fake..

Well I just bought it yesterday and they haven't shipped yet, but wanted to double check my now growing assumption that they didn't make Coach bags in this color back in the good ole days.

seller: leialove6

item: vintage Coach pink satchel crossbody

creed: currently unknown and no photo of it but waiting for response to message asking for it

the rest of the photos are in the listing in the link

Please post a clear copy of the seller's photo of the creed and serial number as soon as you receive it. A photo of the front of the bag doesn't tell us much. My old computer can't open listing photos.

And NO, Coach didn't make vintage bags in bubble gum pink. That style isn't a Satchel either. That color was specifically mentioned in the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List:

"...many but not all of the fakes are the simpler Skinny Case design. The GENUINE 7171s did NOT have creed patches.

Some of the fakes also come in colors like Bubble-Gum Pink that Coach never used during that time period. Some even have purses to match which are ALSO fake. A few fakes have been VERY close and have even fooled experienced sellers..."

Except for very early pre-creed Bonnie Cashin designs (and that's not one of them), Pink colors weren't made until production had already moved to China, especially that particular shade of Pink.

NEVER buy a bag that's supposed to have a creed and serial number without a clear readable photo of those details, ESPECIALLY from chronic fakes-selling sites like Poshmark or Mercari. We don't recommend buying from either site unless the item has been fully authenticated here before commiting to buy.

I think you should cancel your order, especially if the seller doesn't want to send you that creed photo.

I don't see a photo of the outside of the style 9988?

When you ask about different bags of the same or almost the same color, color, please separate the different sets of photos somehow. These have gotten a bit scrambled.

The other are genuine but we still need a photo of the 9988.

Hello! Please help me authenticate this bag I got from a local consignment shop!

It says Made in the United States at the bottom of the inside tag. The serial number is G5M-9790

All the hardware seems good! And is a forest green color.
