The bag is authentic. That strap did not come with that bag.

I saw the bag in question and agree that it's probably okay but also agree that we can't say that with 100% certainty.

I do have pictures of another "Spain" creed in my records. It's from style 7877, a cosmetic case and didn't have a serial number.

ETA: I found the tag for the above item and it was called "Polished calf medium cosmetic." I'm guessing it, too is from 2000-01-ish.

It's authentic. It's a Soho Wooster bag. I can't read the year code on the creed. It might be 1994.

It's an authentic Legacy Chelsea carryall made in 2013.

It's authentic. It's a Soho Wooster bag. I can't read the year code on the creed. It might be 1994.

I found your case in my 2000 Gifts paper catalog. There was also a Small version 7876, and both are listed as "NEW, Polished Calfskin Cosmetics" in the catalog which has the "Prices valid until December 31, 2000" statement on the order form, so your 2000-2001 estimate is right on the money. No sign of the unknown suede and lamb Nappa bag in that book though, so it's still not fully authenticatable, if that's even a word.

Would appreciate an evaluation of this bag; the creed/serial looked like it might be ok to me comparing with others on this thread that were marked authentic, but want to make sure as I would love to restore it better if real (the hardware, which was just turned around out of place and easily put back made me wonder a little as well; I was unsure of the inside pocket, too - creed is stronger than the serial so let me know if there is any issue reading). Thank you!

The creed is hard to read but I think I'm reading the serial number as L5S-9966. If that's the number (or even if I'm reading the prefix correctly), it's fake. I agree that the whole bag looks "off."
