  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Hangtag details were changed often,. and many hangtags were replaced over the years. Also they weren't made from the same leather pieces that the bags were.

By the time your bag was made, most hangtags were two sided and didn't have the word "leatherware." Someone may have attached a different hangtag to your bag other than the one that came with it, or the factory have a backlog of old hangtags to use up.

Where is this bag listed? Please refer to post #1 for the posting format.

So far, I don't see any problems but I'd like to see a couple more pictures.

Please post a side view picture of the side pocket and a closer clear picture of the back of the bag where the top strap attaches to the back of the bag.

Sorry, my mistake. I was losing track of who bought what, and when posters don't use the required posting format for authentications it just makes things harder and more confusing.

"Funny-feeling leather" isn't much help. Heaven only knows what some of these owners or sellers put on their bags as a conditioner, but you know that even better than I do.

From what I can find online matching the creed serial number the bag appears most often as silver. The size of the O in the No seems a bit small, does it not?

The pictures you've posted show an authentic bag.

When comparing details, it's important to compare apples to apples. Fonts, creed text and other details can change from year to year and factory to factory.

In the following comp, I've shown your serial number and another from the same month, year and plant and they are identical (except for color).
