Hello Whateve, the black Belted Pouch that was purchased by Purse_Addiction which she said felt plasticky was ebay listing #152551143602.

I still don't see any problems with the bag as shown in the listing photos. But let Whateve take a look.

That's the same listing I gave her the URL for in post 23842
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/authenticate-this-coach.889527/page-1590#post-31522116
I can't find the listing. When I put the item number, 152551143602, into the ebay advanced search, I get zero results.

What am I doing wrong?

Seller: Goodwill
listing #: M2K-7574
Comments: The logo on the belt buckle looks fishy. These are all the pics. I will post more when the bag is shipped.

I enter only the number in the main "search for anything" bar at top center.

Whateve, you have to go to "completed" to get it to come up. That number won't show a current listing. (I think that's a fairly recent change within the last few months.)

Found a full set of pics showing the ticking lining, corner stitching, and Coach tag. Clicking on the bottom left pic rotates you thru pics - there are 8-9 total. I'm now officially un-invested in this [emoji846]

ETA: Searching for these pics gave me a whole new appreciation for the work you both put into, this thread! Phew!
OP here. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this research. So you're saying this wallet is likely authentic, just minus the checkbook cover? I feel a lot better, though my investment in this wallet was very little. I really appreciate this site, forum and experts!

Yes, I believe I said that 2 posts later

Since we don't have any photos of those small details that can be directly attributed to Coach, all I'll say is that it's very likely genuine. And the details seem to exactly match another example of the same style that seems to be genuine. Maybe it seems a bit nit-picky, but that's what authentication has to be when it gets to that stage.

It's a pretty wallet too, I wonder why they didn't use that pink ticking lining more often.

Thanks so much , I wasn't sure if there was maybe a different style.

Can you contact Goodwill immediately and cancel the order? It's against US Federal law for anyone INCLUDING non-profits to sell counterfeits.

As for the chance of there being another style, if you mean Coach using the same style number for both fabric and leather versions - no, Coach doesn't do that. To the very best of my recollection, they've never used the same number for both materials. Another problem is the date code - the fake's serial codes indicate it was made in December of 2002, but my catalogs show that style wasn't even introduced until Spring 2006. Coach did make a straw version, and also a fabric version of that style but in much larger and brighter colored Cs but with different numbers - 7551 was the Signature version. See the April 24, 2006 Wayback page under Legacy Handbags:
http://web.archive.org/web/20060424.../content/CollectionListAll.aspx?categoryId=68

Here's a link to the Wayback Machine page for March 17, 2006, note the date the page was originally published in yellow lettering on a black background in the upper right corner of the page, and the "new" description of the Legacy Totes in the second Handbags category

When you use the Advanced Search page it's going to pull Current listings only. You need to check the "Completed" link on the left side of the page that comes up to bring up the Completeds, or to specify Completed a hop or two down on the Advanced Search page.

ETA - Oh bother.
Never mind.

Goodwill was very understanding so no problem.

Thanks again for your extra knowledge :)

Both bags look genuine. But the seller should post more photos showing the condition, especially the insides.
Hi! Just getting back to update on the pictures of the inside of the bag. The insides are surprisingly clean and okay. There is just some slight staining on one side of the basic bag so i headed over to the coach rehab thread for some help.

If you personally bought the item at a Coach store or directly from Coach's website, you can post identification questions at the ID This Coach thread in the main Coach forum, but we still prefer pictures of the item and the price tag with the codes.

If it wasn't bought by you directly from Coach, ask about it here at THIS thread and include the information and pictures requested in Post number One of this thread. It has to be authenticated before it can be identified. If we know the name we'll include it in our authentication.
Hello, Can you help me ID this Coach Bag? It's a really light tan but it's not Beitish tan, maybe a taupe color. The tag states it was made in the USA and ID # 0175-945
