I'd already multi-quoted so I'll chime in too.

It's fine.

I've been watching Libertystore and finding more and more fakes.

I'm wondering about this one.
My concerns:
1. appearance of a border around parts of the serial number
2. Slight difference in spacing or characters in serial number as compared to a known authentic bag from same month/year/plant. (Side by side comp included.)

Is this bag genuine or a close fake? TIA.

To me the fonts look exactly the same. I think the difference is how deeply each one was stamped and how soft ot thick the leather was. The only concern I'd have would be the lack of a "base" on the number 1., and that could happen if a digit was damaged and temporarily or permanently replaced.

ETA - checking my files, there are a LOT of differences in the fonts of the style numbers from the 1996 H plant. Almost all of them seem to have some slight differences in size or other details. A few examples:

Thank you. (As long as we can keep libertystore honest, I'll be happy!)

AUTHENTICATE This COACH

    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller:
    Link:
    Comments:

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

  • Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests should be posted in this thread.

@victoriajv - I quoted you but it didn't show.

Welcome to TPF!

Style 10341 has some of the closest fakes we've seen so anyone considering this style needs to be careful.

Please post a couple of additional pictures. I'd like to see a full picture of the back of the bag, a closeup of the center back where the strap (that goes over the top of the bag) attaches to the back and a picture of the side pockets.

Comment: seems to good to be true.

Wait for someone who knows the style, but WTF is with the 1-cent price reduction sticker ??? That would be a major red flag for me - is any US retailer that clueless? Not to mention that it's also upside down.

That style's also old enough to have a creed and serial number - I'd want to see both. LA street gangs are deeply involved in both the sale of counterfeits and small and large scale theft of designer items from highline stores, so the Cerritos location would be a concern.
