Hi, I was walking down Chinatown and came across this shop at South Bridge Road (opposite Fook Hai Building) a traditional Chinese Gold Shop. The big words 'Peranakan Collections' placed at the showcase window catch my eyes. I was surprised by a wide selections of Peranakan Jewellery display at the showcase as well as in the shop.
I did check on the price of the Intan Pendant and the price was reasonable

Hi can someone help me with a question? I'm eyeing an antique intan ring but it's too big for my finger. is it possible/advisable to adjust the ring size and where can I do it?

Hi the shop that I came across at South Bridge Road (opposite Fook Hai Building) The goldsmith shop do alterations They do have a wide selection of Intan Jewellery
Maybe you can get one for your size. Hopefully my reply can assist you.
Thks

Great suggestion! I'm curious about this shop too, never heard of it. My main haunts to hunt in Singapore are pawn shops so this is a good lobang! thanks!

i just came into singapore for the weekend and the first thing i did was to look up this shop...wow they have some fabulous pieces displayed in the shop...from the outside i took two shots and someone from inside the shop came out to see what i was doing....so embarrassing...

I checked their prices and they were reasonable..good values (ie if i dont convert it to ringgit)...a few of the old pieces show very fine workmanship....

The pictures are not that great due to the fact that i had to take them without actually see the composition first...and there was the glass in front of the exhibits... and i was trying to be as discrete as possible ( not easy with the CCTV pointing down at me)

Hi See what i bought at the shop after Peter post the two pictures of the shop display.
Yes I check out all the items are for sale.
They not just selll the items but the craftman can attached the design in a creative way after i bought the necklace and the kolosan at no extra cost on the labour.
They craftman attached the kolosan on to the necklace in such a way that it can be taken out to fixed back as kolosan or wear the three pieces separately as pendants or brooches. Fantastic right!!!!

Great... that you give such good comments on the master piece! thank you
I am really surprise that it turn out to be so beautiful...
I did asked the same question you asked, the Boss told me that the craftman is an old man with 50 over years of experience in jewellery craft and was working with the Company since day one.
