Could you please let me know.... thanks.
I have a question about a Pocket Purse 9755 from 1998 that I have and I know is authentic, but the strap is a thin adjustable one with the dog leash clips.
The one on the Coach catalog shows the lobster type and not adjustable. Then looking on Ebay there are both types for sale. I know, I know that a strap is easy to exchange/replace, but just wondering if by any chance at a point this style came with the adjustable strap.
I have seen enough of them with the dog leash clips and adjustable strap to think that they must have been made that way at some plants and/or in certain years. However, I have only ever seen catalog pics of the non-adjustable, lobster claw strap. Maybe someone else has one showing the other strap configuration.

Thank you so much, yes... I have seen several that way, and I guess it would be too much of a coincidence for so many of this particular style having the straps replaced. As you say, it could have been a particular plant?

I've just been looking at them on eBay...they seem to be from the years 1996-1998, made at different plants including USA and overseas locations.

Coach re-introduced the 9755 Pocket Purse for 1997. The changes mentioned.weren't in the early 1997 catalog pages but might have been a later addition. The strap length in the earlier 1997 books was listed as 44 inches, but later in the same year it was now listed as 48 inches, and if it was non-adjustable it's understandable why some buyers would have replaced it with a shorter length. Or maybe the longer 48-inch length actually WAS adjustable (which seems likely) and had a different clip but the catalog description and photo hadn't been updated to show that yet.

Keep repeating the official mantra. "The only consistent thing about Coach is their inconsistency. The only consistent thing about Coach... "

I was wondering if anyone could ID this bag? I am PRETTY SURE IT'S REAL considering I found it in a TJ Maxx, but I'm wondering how old it is. How old is this bag that Coach just sent over one day (and in pretty beat up condition).

It's from 2001. It was called Girlie Leather Hobo. I'm sure someone returned it somewhere, possibly with the wrong tag, which is why TJ Maxx ended up with it. We have an ID thread here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...st-any-coach-item-name-questions-here.355205/

Although this fake isn't showing up frequently, I just found 2 identical to each other fakes with the same serial number as well as some previous Hall of Shame posts of the same fake serial but different styles.

In the case of the current fakes, they're "close" enough to fool and that there are 2 of the same, buyers could be more apt to believe they're genuine.

AFAIK, 7055 was never used as a style number. It certainly wasn't this style.
(Showing pictures of both fakes, identical but different colors. This is a good example of why googling a serial number doesn't mean that the items found are authentic.)

It looks like a hybrid between 6791 and 9443. Weird zipper pulls.
