What do you think of this 2003 Thailand L plant creed?

It very likely was a floater, I think I've seen at least one L plant code on a Thai creed from 2003 but the photo is not in my files. The L code seems to have been only used on a short-term basis probably for temporary plants or rented plants or production lines when it was still being used in the US back in the mid-1990s.

ETA - Here's a 2001 dated L plant creed, compare the details in the serial number. the No, hyphen, spacing (especially how much closer the digits of the style number are to each other compared to the spacing in the serial prefix all seem to have been made by the same stamp. Even the middle digit "1" in the 2001 prefix looks the same as the "i" month code in the 2003 creed.

EATA - and here's the 2003 creed I was trying to find earlier:

Ugh! It's a love-hate relationship with Coach!

For those who want more confusion in their lives, note that the font/creed from the Thai L plant (c. 2003+/-) shown above isn't the only one seen on authentic items!

Here's another from a piece of luggage. (credit for the great pictures goes to a Tradesy seller.) This item is authentic but comparisons of the creed/serial numbers show big differences as compared to those above.

Remember the mantra! "The only thing consistent about Coach is their inconsistency". :giggle:

I apologize if this doesn’t belong, I searched everywhere and couldn’t find the answer. Where is the style number located on a Drifter Satchel 38389? On the creed? I found a few on posh with creeds without numbers. Will they have a small white tag somewhere?

Probably.

But bags with white tags (and the tags) have been faked too. So between PM and the close fakes being made, it's a good idea to verify authenticity.

Thanks so much! Making note of this plant code. Would it be used only for those made from a certain year or later (like for this one 2002)?
Each plant was used for a specific period of time. It takes a long time of collecting authentic creeds to figure out what years those plant codes were used for. This particular code I've seen used for 2000. I don't have a large collection of creeds so I can't say for sure when they stopped using it.

Makes sense! Thanks for your help @whateve!

Also to the attention of @whateve

I have creed stamps in my files with a "3" code for a Chinese plant dating from late 1999 to 2002, when the number 3 disappears for a few years (or maybe I just never saved any newer examples with that number) and reappears briefly near the end of 2005 after Coach had started to use 2-number codes for the year code. At least I THINK it's a 3 plant code, the photo isn't very clear. So unless more show up with legible 05 year codes and "3" plant codes, the 2002 date is the last one that can be confirmed.
NOTE - SEE EDIT BELOW

Again, that's only what's actually in my photo files, there could be others I haven't found or just didn't bother to save.

Earliest - 1999

Most recent - 2005 maybe?

ETA - Just found several from 2003, 2004 AND 2005 but most of the photos are pretty bad so I won't bother to post them. So it looks like the "3" plant was open from 1999 straight through most of the early 2000 decade. There were changes in creed wording and serial number fonts along the way.

Here's a Search page with some examples:

Here's a clear one from 2005 from one of the Sig Optic Bumblebee bags:
