I believe my Devon bag is that forest green and the "green" really depends on the lighting. In some lights it IS green (daylight) but in artificial light it is just black.

Thanks for checking in! I hope your coffee was delicious. To answer the question, no one commented at the time I posted but I see a few now (since you asked). I'll try to get some photos in strong daylight. Meanwhile my maybe- black/maybe-green Chester is now called "bleen." HA.Did you ever hear more on this? I know I have seen dark green bags and the Ranch comes to mind now. A search on the Vintage thread for dark green indicates there was a forest green and yup, it is in the Fall ‘90 catalogue.
Work is annoying me no end today and a pour over while taking a reading break on tPF is just what I need!!!
Hi all - are you able to tell me if the Watson bag (9981) ever came in the colorway Chamois?
Thanks and please let me know if this is not the correct forum for this question!
Not Chamois but yellow is mentioned. So maybe you're looking at yellow thinking it's Chamois? Here is a 1996 catalog page that lists yellow for Watson.
