Did Coach ever make a green so dark that it could be mistaken for black (kind of like navy/blavy)? Or are Coach's greens always recognizable as green?

I have a Chester that was listed as black, but the photos and real life say Green to me. Not sure if photos would help bcs of differences in monitors.

Hello , I found a bag at the goodwill that caught my attention because of the color and the style. It is almost new and still smells like new leather. The brand is Maison Heritage Paris. After researching, it is categorized into luxury bags. My question is if anyone can tell me if it could be fake and what I need to look I not familiar with that brand . I haven't seen any serial number and I don't know if this brand has it like other luxury bags. Thanks

This subforum is limited to Coach.

I searched the forum and didn't find anything for "Maison Heritage Paris" but you might try starting a thread on this subforum. (If it's not the appropriate place, they'll redirect you.)

Hey! Does anyone know what the X on the creed means? I haven’t come across this yet. I was thinking perhaps discontinued, sold at an outlet, irregular item? TIA 🙂

"X" indicates an item that was sent to a discounter or liquidator such as TJ Maxx, Marshalls, the now defunct Filene's Basement, etc.

Although I've never seen manufacturer defects, items with "X" aren't eligible for any warranty service and I also don't believe Coach will service them for a fee either.

My guess is that they were sent to discounters rather than their own outlet stores because quantities may have been to low for the outlets and some may have been shopworn or used.

But as long as the "X" stamp is on a genuine bag, authenticity isn't an issue. (I've seen 1 or 2 fakes with X but it's possible they were switcheroo returns that Coach stamped and liquidated.)

Thank you so much for explaining this!
Would this also apply to bags with FS stamped on the creed?

Would this also be the same for D&B bags that were stamped with “irregular”?

The BAG ITSELF has to be determined to be authentic or fake, not just the stamp. Any counterfeiter can fake a stamp.

"ANYTHING A MAKER CAN MAKE, A FAKER CAN FAKE".

To prove @Hyacinth's point, here's an example of a creed on a fake bag with an "FS" stamp:

Hi,
I have some questions about the #9338 Crescent bag - was this style only made in 2002? Was this style ever in the catalogue? I’ve been looking through the archives here, from 2001 through 2003, and I haven’t been able to find it.

TIA 🇺🇸🫡🎆

Did you ever hear more on this? I know I have seen dark green bags and the Ranch comes to mind now. A search on the Vintage thread for dark green indicates there was a forest green and yup, it is in the Fall ‘90 catalogue.

Work is annoying me no end today and a pour over while taking a reading break on tPF is just what I need!!!

I've had forest green bags. They are a very pretty dark green. IMO they were obviously green in real life but almost impossible to get to look green in a photo.
