I'm not familiar with the style. I don't know if the colorway was one that was in production. I don't believe it is a swagger. I think if it is authentic, it was part of a 2013-2014 collection. I can't remember the name of the style or line. I have a clutch with a similar design I got in 2014.
You are so right, not sure why I thought of a Swagger. It is a Bleecker Mini Riley 29012, there is one in Ebay right now. Pictures are not the greatest, but looks like the same as mine.

I did a search first as I always do before asking and taking your time, that is how I found out that sample bags won't be authenticated and I understand.

I purchase this Swagger bag from Tradesy that as usual only shows 3 pictures and never the creed. I believed it was authentic because I had one before (other model), so I bought it.
Upon arrival I see that the creed has the 99999, that I had never seen before.
I am not asking what I know you can not offer, just if you please could tell me what details might be "questionable" so I can compare them with other bags known to be authentic in that line. If no possible, no problem.

Thank you so much for replying, I will try to find other similar bags to add more info.

Just another comment. While the bag may (or may not) be authentic, there's no way to prove authenticity and IMO, a trustworthy professional authentication company shouldn't or wouldn't issue a COA because of the 99999 "style" number on the creed.

We've seen way too many "00000" and "99999" bags that were questionable (at best) and obviously fake (at worst) and without any definitive evidence that the items were actually made and sold by Coach, authenticity cannot be confirmed. (It's not an obvious fake, though.)

for the record, the compariison listing you've

If this is a bag you would carry yourself without any plans to resell and if you're comfortable with the quality, you certainly can enjoy it.

But I don't recommend reselling it since authenticity can't be confirmed. JMHO.

I'm curious about something though. The link you showed from whom you purchased (now on Thredup) shows the seller ID as "Coach Factory " however the listings don't appear to be listed by the Coach Outlet website/seller with whom we're familiar. Calling oneself Coach Factory seems misleading to me!

I understand and that is why I was only asking for possible signs of fake...

In regards to the site, the "Coach Factory" is not the seller, when you do a search for Coach, you have the option to search for Coach Factory items, Coach, Coach All and that is what shows up under all the available ones. Thredup operates as consignment you do not deal with the sellers directly, the Company ship orders from different locations, when you make a purchase of several items, it takes longer to receive them because they ship first to a location to be shipped together.

I wasn’t sure where to ask this, and thought this would be a good spot.

I received this #9952 from ThredUp. I know the bag is authentic. However, this is the first time I’ve ever seen (FS) stamped next to the creed. I’m thinking Floor Sample, Final Sale … Anyone know? TIA

I believe it is final sale. Probably not eligible for warranty.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this. I purchased a bag from an antique store. It looked like the Watson bag. So I purchased it (I got it for 15$) I figured if it wasn’t authentic , I would not be out that much money. The bag has an authentic style number , 9958 which it the style number for the Pelham bag . Obviously the Watson style number is 9981. So my question is could the bag have Been incorrectly stamped? The bag looks to have been stamped twice. I cleaned the bag up all the hardware is brass I used brasso on it. I took it to a cobbler and was told the bag was cowhide leather. I don’t know much about the fake bag market. So any help would be appreciated.

Note: I do own several vintage coach bags, this one just has me scratching my head.

Attached are two pictures that kind show a slight double stamping.

I'm sorry but the bag is fake.

ETA: We have seen authentic bags with stamping mistakes but this isn't one of them.

Hi Authentication Wizards,

I've been looking at Whatev's fave Bleeckers, generally 11419, and it looks like there are font and creed spacing variances depending on the colour of the bag? Is my observation erroneous? Are some of these fake? Feed my brain knowledge, please . Thanks so much!

The black ones aren't burnished so they have different creed wording than the others. They may have had more than one creed stamp in use. These all look authentic.

Thank you for letting me know! figured as much, I just wanted the confirmation. For a fake it’s a very well made leather bag. I bought it because I loved the look. I’ll carry it, until I’m able to get my hands on an actual one.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question!

Hi,

I've been looking at authentications in an effort to become better informed and noticed G plant's country of origin creed deviation post 1994, which was noted by Whateve in 2014. Do we know when G plant incorporated country of origin into the body of the creed?

C Plant also had "Made in" at the bottom of the creed in 1995 for this authenticated Devon: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ee-first-post-for-format.889527/post-27807366

GW has a 1994 Duffle Sac D Plant listing that also show the "Made in" phrase at the bottom: https://shopgoodwill.com/item/184551997

I imagine the creed change took time to implement and that there's a general time period by which the change was uniformly reflected across plants. For the Devon and Duffle, was it likely a matter of replacing the old stamping mechanism or a genuine error?

I would love your insight, please, and thank you very much for your time and knowledge!

Every plant did it on their own schedule. There was more than one stamp in use at the same time so at one plant they could have been using a new style creed and an old style creed at the same time. I have G plant creeds that still used the old wording in 1997, but there were specialized creeds from the G plant that had the new wording earlier.

Hi everyone,

I recently had a pre-1994 Slim Zip, style 4018, authenticated here, looked at other authentication requests for the same style and came across another red one. What was especially interesting to me is both bags have a wobble in the bottom of the creed frame that didn't appear in other pre-1994 bags that weren't red. The wobbles are different in each bag.

I don't know if anyone can provide a definitive answer or whether it would be speculation, but was this a stamping blip or something that was a common occurrence in US made pre-1994 red Slim Zips? Links to authentications, along with pics of the actual creeds, below. I don't know how I was able to save the image that no longer appears in the 2015 request.

I look forward to your thoughts, please, and thank you for your time!

I've seen other wobbly creed frames. I've never kept track of where they occurred. It was probably random when using older stamping equipment. If the leather wasn't stretched smooth or was stretched too much when stamping, that could have made it happen.
