I’m fine with the canvas. It’s got two small spots on the back but I can live with that.

It’s the wrinkled leather that kinda gets me more. But their spa does take a long time, and I don’t know how much it’ll cost to spa a pretty inexpensive (to them) bag.

I’ll enjoy it longer, and will send it in when I won’t carry it because it looks too worn.
Have you ever seen photos of how Jane Birkin trashed her first Birkin bag? I mean to say, she STOMPED on it! Drew on it! Put stickers on it!!! And kept it until it d@mn near fell apart! And then she got another one, and did the same thing. Think of those wrinkles as part of the bag's purse-onality! :giggle:

Well, I'm feeling very virtuous this morning because I photographed mine (14 photos!!!) and sent it out for offers to three different places. Now we shall see! Yoogi's will most likely give me the best price, but then I'll have to wait until it sells. Fashionphile will probably lowball it, but at least it will be gone. And who knows about Bag Borrow Steal. :annoyed:

However, at least this little project is done, and I'm feeling really good about that. And also (and this is the best part) SO thrilled with how fantastic the camera is on my new phone! Almost (almost) takes the sting out of needing to sell a perfectly good, as-new handbag that just didn't work out for me!

I’m jelly....When will my X arrive....

It is beautiful but I don't like how the cc go in and out of it and the color is brown but not a brown that goes with any of my brown bags. I will see which one she prefers and go from there. I have other things that he bought me that I love and use. He also lives a few hundred miles away and would never know.
In that case, I think I'd give it to my friend. You know she'll enjoy it, and then you won't feel quilty every time you see it in the drawer. It really sounds as though it doesn't meet your needs any more (if it ever did).

I thought you might be planning to sell since it didn't match with your preference. I've also hard time to give up items by the brand I love. Where's the Chinese zodiac? I can only see the suitcase?

I just have difficulties to find a card case/small pouch made of vachetta leather. I love to see how it gets the beautiful honey patina. Maybe I should expand to men's section or to Etsy... I'd be another downhill. :/

If I end up selling, youre first to know!

The Chinese zodiac is stamped on the back :)
Mine has patinaed I’ll have to take a proper picture.

I think I saw some one sell vachetta leather card cases. Mcraftleather on etsy I think? Someone who made vachetta leather tassels had card cases at one time.

A whole ton of them got delivered in my little town last Friday. The FedEx truck was filled to the brim with little boxes... the driver was laughing about it when he brought the box to me for my signature. He said he was making a whole lot of people happy that day!
They are probably rolling them out in phases. What does the web site say?

ETA: Anyone here with reviews of the Coach tote?
I can't review the Coach but I can say that Dooney has some AMAZING looking bordeaux colors bags. I went in store yesterday and was so tempted!
I've been thinking about my top 5 bags in terms of spark joy, based on the question here. A revelation- I'm having a hard time filling the 5 up!! Just the same, here is the list I came up with:

1. Saint Laurent blue tote - I don't know why I love it since shopping tote is really not my fave style, but I love carrying her and smelling the wonderful leather scent. It gives me a wonderful feeling overall when I'm wearing her.

2. Massaccesi red midi Minerva - the color on this is soooo beautiful, plus the leather smell is heavenly, plus the shoulder strap length just works!

3. Alexander McQueen black Padlock - I know the other color I have has more oomph factor and has better leather, but I just love the versatility of this black bag!

4. LV Speedy 30 Epi in black - it's such a classic and I love carrying her. Maybe it would have been 110% love if I got it brand new!

5. LV Alma PM Epi in black - I don't automatically reach for this bag, but when I do I feel elegant! As with the Speedy, this would probably be 110% love if I have it in the current version and brand new.
I remember you debating over the SL Tote. I'm so glad you took the plunge and realized it was worth the cost!! It's your #1!!

I bought another strap at Coach. I'll share pics tomorrow!

I am still thinking of possibly trying a ban after the holidays are over and after any exchanges are made, if any. I might have a small bag out today if my friend decides she wants it. I need to get a firm list of my slgs. My best friend needs a new wallet and I have so many I would love to just let her pick from the ones I don't use. My dilemma is there is one a close relative gave me years ago but never used. I think it would fit her style perfectly but it is like a $400.00 dollar wallet. He has since bought me a different one . Would it be bad to just give it to her? It was a wallet that he could not easily afford at the time but still surprised me with, though it is not my style. I guess guilt has made me keep it but It won't be worn . What would you do?

I am possibly where you are, as far as a ban dcooney. I am not ready to commit right now, but may be at the beginning of 2018.

I would let your friend have the wallet if it is the one she wants, dcooney. It was pricey, but since you have never used it, it doesn’t make sense to just keep it in your closet. Since she’s your best friend, it makes sense to give it to her, imo.
I'm also thinking of a ban. But before I declare it. I want to be sure it's what I want to do. If not, I'm staying in oause Peninsual.

And regarding the wallet. I would give it to my bf for two reasons. 1) If I'm not using it it's a waste if I keep it 2) if someone bought it at a sacrifice to themselves then I really would feel like it should be used and cherished by someone who could appreciate it.

  Every time I hear this story I want to faint. I'm all for living in and loving our bags. But bag abuse make me crazy. lol!

Oh my gosh, that Lucy bag is adorable! I'd love to get my hands on that. Our eldest dd is a huge Lucille Ball fan! [emoji173]️
I am too. I have been getting Lucy merchandise at the county fairs, there's a vendor that has it, but this last year there was very little. I asked the lady about it and she said there's not very much being produced anymore. She gets what she can, but there's not a lot available. I would check eBay or other sites that sell memorabilia.

Today I decided first that I did not want to keep with the Betsey Johnson bag, and then that I wanted some color since my outfit is neutral. So....

My Coach mini Preston in lemon. I could hear @ElainePG in my head worrying about looking like a bumblebee but I decided to use it anyway. My top is black and white and it's a pale yellow. I snapped this while I was waiting for the bus leaving church.

It is like a ray of sunshine.

I have had success hand laundering my cashmere sweaters. I haven't washed a scarf but can't imagine they'd be much different?

In some ways, I think a scarf would be easier, just because it’s easier to reshape and dry flat than a sweater. I haven’t done a scarf yet, but have hand-washed cashmere sweaters and an old nylon Prada bag in Woolite with good results.

And then, she auctions them off for charity!
