Today to church then to the mall with a Never Wear bag, but I must say I loved using her! This LV was my first premiere designer bag and predates my membership in tpf. I've styled her with a sleeveless top from Debenhams, cropped pants from Uniqlo, ballerina flats from Tod's and Gucci scarf used as belt. The necklace was given to me long before I knew how to accessorize, I think by an aunt overseas?

Lovely outfit and wonderful first premiere designer bag. My first premiere designer was a LV canvas bag, too (Batignolles Horizontal) and then I discovered tpf!

I've been thinking about my top 5 bags in terms of spark joy, based on the question here. A revelation- I'm having a hard time filling the 5 up!! Just the same, here is the list I came up with:

1. Saint Laurent blue tote - I don't know why I love it since shopping tote is really not my fave style, but I love carrying her and smelling the wonderful leather scent. It gives me a wonderful feeling overall when I'm wearing her.

2. Massaccesi red midi Minerva - the color on this is soooo beautiful, plus the leather smell is heavenly, plus the shoulder strap length just works!

3. Alexander McQueen black Padlock - I know the other color I have has more oomph factor and has better leather, but I just love the versatility of this black bag!

4. LV Speedy 30 Epi in black - it's such a classic and I love carrying her. Maybe it would have been 110% love if I got it brand new!

5. LV Alma PM Epi in black - I don't automatically reach for this bag, but when I do I feel elegant! As with the Speedy, this would probably be 110% love if I have it in the current version and brand new.
Great top 5 joy sparking bags!

Massacessi must be selling like hot cakes! Those who dabble in the brand always have more than one.

Are they that amazing?
Yes, especially for the price point ($300-$400) and for the ability to choose your leather, hardware, lining, and any other extra options, e.g., changing handles or adding pockets. The craftsmanship is excellent.

Also, they have sales every two or three months it seems, so many fans acquire their bags during those times.

I must confess that I am further compelled to sell some bags because BV is currently having its semi-annual sale. I bought a Bottega Veneta bag that I have been eyeing, and it’s in a color that I didn’t think would go on sale yet because it’s fairly new. I will post it when it arrives.

One bag in, one bag out.
I am trying to do the one in in out with bags and slgs too. Way to go on sales and I cannot wait to see the new bag.

OMG! I can never keep up! [emoji13][emoji13][emoji13] you girls move this thread so fast and I only have so little time these days. I saw MSD post about the top 5 bags and I’m curious about the criteria you all set, but I couldn’t find where it is. Then, here come another 10 or so pages to go though. You all are so active these days. [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

I finally done with my obsessive packing. It seems like the shorter the trip, the more nervous I am about packing and getting ready.
Anyway, there’ll be a couple days filled with meetings before the flight takes off.

I wonder what my top 5 bags are. It changes over time. I use to be a crossbody girl, but since my shoulders hurt badly, I’m now a tote girl. Even my trustee companion bags for traveling has changed. I now love my Travel More backpack that I backed on Kickstarter a year ago. Light weight, waterproof, and lockable. Couple with WOC, I feel worry free and not overwhelm and too heavy on my shoulders. (I really want to love and prefer my thief-prof Arden B, but the chain is just too substantial = so heavy)

For day-to-day, I now like my monogram tote, MM’s Selene, Selene Midi, and Angelica. Maybe one day, if I’m not too chicken out, I’ll try that full-size Thia. The fact that my shoulders aren’t good as it used to prevent me from going back and enjoying crossbody bags as much as I used to.

Funny that this year, I don’t really have eyes for high end designer bags at all. The Dionysus caught my eyes. Some LV caught y eyes. I love LC Mademoiselle and Coach rogue, but at the end, MM and some other Indy brands rule. [emoji4]

There is a real dearth of quality leather bags at the below $500 price point these days. There used to be a whole bunch of them but I think the recession and rising costs took most of them out. The department stores are a wasteland of poorly made bags. Coach still has nice bags of course, but the current designs don’t appeal to me so much.

Not many of Coach’s stuff is under $500. At least not the ones everyone is all about.

I guess since they’re made less than $500 Massacessi can be an addiction.

I think this is very true. A lot of the brands that used to fill this need have gone away or have had noticeable drops in quality. RM, Botkier, etc. I go back and forth on Coach - some seasons I love and other seasons I don't.
