They’re also hot stamped on the back with the Chinese zodiac of the year I received them.

It’s funny how I’m willing to give away gifts from family and friends I don’t like, but I hesitate at gifts from LV. Maybe because they’re LV?
I thought you might be planning to sell since it didn't match with your preference. I've also hard time to give up items by the brand I love. Where's the Chinese zodiac? I can only see the suitcase?

I just have difficulties to find a card case/small pouch made of vachetta leather. I love to see how it gets the beautiful honey patina. Maybe I should expand to men's section or to Etsy... I'd be another downhill. :/

As kinda sorta promised, I brought my Betsey Johnson Be Mine Satchel out today. I think she will probably be sold. Just not feeling the love.

And a bonus. My Lucy large cosmetics case that I use as a project bag. This bag is not going anywhere, it's staying right with me.

Oh my gosh, that Lucy bag is adorable! I'd love to get my hands on that. Our eldest dd is a huge Lucille Ball fan! ❤️

That sounds fascinating. I envy anyone with a natural aptitude towards math. I have a huge mental block with almost anything math-related — to me, it’s like someone being able to do magic!
Me too, Cat! Upper level math is like Greek to me but our ds excels at it. The only thing I'm good at is easy mental math problems. Yesterday when I was waiting at the counter in Kate Spade a woman come up and asked the clerk how much her bag was when it had a 20% discount on top of a 60% discount. Before the clerk got out the calculator, I told her the amount. They acted like I was some sort of genius. (Not even close.) Lol!

Thats a tough one; knowing he couldn’t really afford it but he got it for me would make me hesitate in letting go. On the other hand you’re not using it. To be honest i truly don’t know what i do. I may hold on to it simply because of guilt. Or give your friend outright and not collect any money for it
Would not sell it to her just give it to her, but the guilt thing is why I have kept it for more then 4 years. Ugh I hate this kind of stuff.

I have a couple of suggestions to make it feel better about giving it away. First of all, your best friend is also a loved one. I imagine you think of her like a sister; it would be ok if you gave away a gift to a sister, right? Secondly, I imagine you have had this wallet a few years. What if you imagine it was a well used wallet? I don’t think your loved one would mind you giving a worn out wallet away. Lastly, to offset the value of the wallet (in case your BFF may be hesitant to accept it), you can always trade for something non monetary but of value to you e.g.house sitting the next time you go on vacation, helping you go through your closets, things like that. To sum up, you think it’s perfect for her, it’s a great idea and gift and your loved one won’t mind you giving a ‘used’ wallet away
You are right on target with this. Thank you it really helps.

Let it go. Does anyone ever ask you about the gifts they’ve given? I’ve never been asked. If your friend will choose it, that’s where it should go.

These are just things at the end of the day. You’ll always remember the effort and the thoughtfulness behind a gift, but you don’t need the gift on hand to remember all that.

And I totally encourage a ban for you after the holidays, even for a short time, to enjoy your recently acquired goodies!

ETA: Ban island would also give you time to re-evaluate what you currently have vs what you need or need to let go of.
I agree!

Thanks!

And @catsinthebag thanks for being impressed but there are people in my program that have a really hard time with the math but they manage. I help them through the exercises step by step and then it doesn’t seem so bad. It’s just a matter of having the motivation, support, good resources, and time to break it down into bite size pieces and just chug through. Getting your mind wrapped around the abstract symbols representing stuff that’s usually really simple once you get used to it. It’s like the english language is super hard to learn for a foreigner, so many irregulars, but when you are used to them, it’s like breathing. Math is best thought of like that, just a language, and it only takes repeated exposure, practice, getting used to it, until it is like breathing.
HBG, if you lived near me I'd hire you to be my math tutor. Just the way you explained it right now tells me you'd be a fantastic teacher!

Lol Bag math is a whole different category.

Ladies ... I’m just in awe of how deliberately, enthusiastically ... more adverbs ... you got onto selling your bags and are doing it! Like one day we’re trying not to drown in our bags and the next you’ve listed a bunch, are closing deals and heading for the post office. In my time on tPF dating from a long lurking period before I joined, I haven’t witnessed anything like this. Kudos! You’re making me vicariously happy .
I have two more listed thanks to the encouragement I've received here! And I hope to list more tomorrow, too.

After a good year of taking it out, putting my stuff in it, realizing it didn’t work, taking my stuff out of it and picking a different bag, I finally sold it via Fashionphile. I took a big hit on that bag but I simply couldn’t look at it anymore. It was a good lesson for me about small, cute open top bags with tiny center zip compartments. Just didn’t work at all. Which is sad because it was such a pretty little thing.
Well, I'm feeling very virtuous this morning because I photographed mine (14 photos!!!) and sent it out for offers to three different places. Now we shall see! Yoogi's will most likely give me the best price, but then I'll have to wait until it sells. Fashionphile will probably lowball it, but at least it will be gone. And who knows about Bag Borrow Steal. :annoyed:

However, at least this little project is done, and I'm feeling really good about that. And also (and this is the best part) SO thrilled with how fantastic the camera is on my new phone! Almost (almost) takes the sting out of needing to sell a perfectly good, as-new handbag that just didn't work out for me!
