Yes,if I can authenticate. Just like buying vintage items. Especially if you can get a piece which is no longer in production! IMO if you only buy 'new' things you would really miss out on unique items.

I voted yes, I own several pre-owned LV. I hate waiting for my vachetta to patina and I think as long as you are picky and ask the seller plenty of questions (re. if there's any smells etc.) then saving some money is great (more money to buy more LV)! My two recent pre-owned purchases, neither were ever used and both are pristine. My vernis agenda even had the new leather smell still :D

I like to imagine where my bags went before me, what was the person like who once owned them. I always give my bags a quick clean once I receive them, and honestly I'm pretty relaxed as far as 'germs' etc. go.

I would and I have several pre-loved LVs. I only started buying preloved recently after knowing the condition of preloved here, the reason why some are cheap and for the discontinued designs to justify my purchase. I also searched for almost a year to get an epi Noe for my aunt cos firstly, she cannot afford a new one, secondly epi noe or speedy are out of fashion here, therefore even mint condition, ppl here sold it off to 2nd handshop, so the condition isnt disgusting or smelly in fact, tthey clean it til so shiny, my uncle thought it was NEW. For USD300, I think it is far too 'MORE' to get a new one. And last week, the same shop got a even better and newer Epi Noe and the price only USD230ish.

i voted NO! bcos some of the 2nd hand/used LV are very disgusting and has a smell. sorry to say that. there're many stains on the vachetta. i rather spend more to get a new one. :faint:

I had purchased a petite noe in green epi leather. The condition and the price is good too. However as what others had mentioned, I would definitely get the new one for SLGs.

Hi! I bought my first LV preloved. Honestly she was a steal of a good deal and she was literally new without a mark on her and half the price of a new one. I have just posted some recent pics of her too this am in fact. I go to a very reputable place (you have to be careful of the fake sites) and then get authenticated on here. I still had this heart stopping thrill as I opened up my box and dust bag to see her in person. You can certainly buy preloved and it can be fun to hunt around for the perfect find. There a quite a few people that buy preloved especially for the LE ones that are no longer sold. Some people purchased them and no longer want them or never used them.. Whatever their thing was could just be your HG bag and then you score it. Our mods are awesome at being able to tell you a real from a fake. I am waiting to buy my next LV but honestly if I find it preloved before I get it new and it is another steal I might go it there first.

Just read the first time authenticate thread and I could not belive how good some fakes can actually be . I would only buy preloved If getting Lee 69 or Addys opinion first.
I am amazed, what they do in that thread.It would be nice to know the history behind them.
