Very true ! I don't own pre- loved or pre- own
Purses. I rather wait and save than settle for
less ! I'm not RICH but I'm very particular
on my purchases . I love all brand new in
my stuff . The hunting the, thrill and knowing
I'm the first owner is different feelings too !

i am fine with preloved item, as long as they are in good condition. I will use anti bacterial wipes to wipe them, yes, including the vachetta, and wipe the interior. and i wipe the canvas and interior everytime i use them. So i think it is really clean enough for me to just use it. Moreover i only buy the one that looks hardly used.

if is for SLGs, i will most probably buy brand new items. because there will be almost no chance that they will be unfit for my lifestyle. but bags? higher chance to be unfitted to my height, skin tone, lifestyle and size. not worth it to spend 1000+dollars just to "try" a bag.

However, if is for something very memorable in my milestone i will buy a brand new one to pamper myself.

I would definitely purchase a gently used/much loved bag, but my hubby is far more worried about fakes than I am. I do however work really hard for what I own, so I'm always proud of myself when I save up for a brand new bag. :)

I am always tempted to purchase preloved because of the amount of money I can save. But then my OCD side always prevents me from actually getting it and I end up going to the store. It'll be hard when it's a bag that they no longer make so it had to be preloved or nothing. When that day comes I'll figure it out :)

So far I have not bought any secondhand bag cos I dun think it is worth the risks (i.e. authenticity and used condition) in order to save the few hundred bucks. I also dun think it is worthwhile to get a bag which has been used for more than a year, just to save that few hundred bucks too.

However, I would consider buying a used handbag if it is already out of production. But the condition is I must be able to check the bag in person in order to ensure that the condition is acceptable to me. If that is not possible, I would then resort to buying from a reputable online shop, after making thorough checks on it through forums and other social media.

I'm surprised to see so many 'no' answers! I love buying pre-loved! I love to think about the person who bought the purse before me :)

It's not hard to find used bags in great condition and I prefer the vachetta. I cannot tell you how nice it is not to stress about messing up the handles!

Plus, I can get three pre-loved LVs for the price of one new bag ;)

I totally agree with you, no pre-owned purses for me. I'm just quite paranoid of how the bag was used before, what had been put in it... (blame my being too finicky and my fondness of watching Border Security...) I'd rather wait and save and have peace of mind...:graucho:

Nevertheless, I do have a pre-owned stuff, a cosmic blossom scarf... I just completely fell in love with it when I saw it at yoogi's. It was "Like New" though, and smells lovely when I opened the cute little box that came with it.
But as I have said, that will be my last pre-owned buy.

I wouldn't be opposed to it, but a lot of times I think it's a waste. I see so many pre-owned items asking for just a little less than a brand-new item (maybe $100 less). I'd rather save the extra 100 and buy brand-new!

no. i'm scared of cooties and taking them home with me will drive me crazy. i take care of my things and with handbags, pricey or not, laying them in any way on the floor is a big no no and/or pet peeve of mine. so i'd be scared to know where the bags been and where it's landed. knowing that it's new, for me, makes the purchase worthwhile. with my cheaper bags i usually discard after 6 months of constant use, and once it's stored it's harder for me to reuse them so most of the time I would happily give them away. My lv is the only exception to keep forever.
