Would you purchase a 2nd hand/used LV?

I've done a combination of eLuxury and fashionphile. ELuxury for the timeless classics, like the Damier Alma, the Damier Macau Clutch, and various bag charms. Fashionphile for the items eLuxury no longer has or never had - the Damier Pegasse 50, the Fawn Epi Speedy 25, the Monogram Charms Pochette, and the Roses NF MM (while eLuxury was sold out). For the Fashionphile items, I have NEVER had a problem with smells or odors. Happy shopping!

I voted Yes. But I would be very careful about who I bought my bag from. The bag would have to be in a great condition as well. I bought my Speedy used because it was a limited edition and no longer available in the store. I love it and am glad I got it. Same thing with my Chanel bags, I bought them used but neither of them had ever been taken out of the dust bags and really used so it was like getting a brand new bag at half the retail price. I like buying at the stores as well and bringing a new bag home. I think what works for some might not work for others and that is okay.

While shiny and new bags are lovely, I would not be against buying a secondhand LV, although this is of course depending upon the condition of said bag. If it's in great shape, sure!

Sure, I would for somethings that I like the particular vintage look. Otherwise, I enjoy the feeling going into the actual store and oooh-aaahing over my soon-to-be purse and saying "I'll take it"

there is nothing like bonding with an LV straight from the store. I wouldnt feel the same way if I bought 2nd hand. Sounds strange but it's true.

I have but only because the Backpack I wanted the Montsouris GM wasn't available thru LV stores an longer. Oh and I had to meet with my SA at SF Union Square LV to make sure it's authenticity I have the original shopping bag receipt and dust bag.

I would and I have. Although most of my bags are new from the boutique or Elux, I have purchased things on Ebay before. Not all used bags are in bad shape. I only buy the ones in mint condition and often times...they smell like new. There are alot of people out there like me who buy bags for the love of the bag and dont really use them and so when the bags are sold...they are pretty much in great condition. I also dont mind saving a little so I can get even more bags!

Yes, otherwise I would've never gotten my Cherry Blossom pochette. and it's in fantastic condition, no smell, no stains, no pain.

Hi everyone! Lately I've been cruising the consignment sites in search of a Trevi GM and I'm wondering what your thoughts are on pre-loved bags. I do own some pre-loved SLG's and I'm considering the Trevi as a pre-loved item because it's not a HG bag of mine - its just one that I think would fit my lifestyle and I wouldn't feel the intense need to baby it as I would a brand new one. I looked at the Trevi club thread and saw that most people seem to own the PM. I'd love to see more mod shots of the GM if you have one . Any input on pre-loved bags welcome! Thanks!

I have notice that a lot of people buy used bags but I cannot get myself to do it. Part of the thrill of LV is opening the box and finding your fresh new bag. I think bags are personal and I would not want to put my things into some bag that I do not know who owned it and if they were hauling around dirty undies in it. Ha! I feel the same about used clothes and shoes to me it is just to personal.
