Only if it is a discontinued item, simply because there is no other way to get an item that is no longer available in stores. It would have to be in excellent condition, because I'm pretty picky. If it's a current item, I will always buy it brand new.

I voted yes. I purchased my vintage luggage pre-loved, and it is in pristine condition for being 28 (5 years older than I am!!). There is no smell, no stains, only perfectly tanned and cared for leather and canvas. I used a very trusted reseller, and that's the only way I would do it.

Only If it were a discontinued item.. yes. Or must be in a new like condition and I can get another bag for the bucks I have saved! :smile1: Other than that.. NO. I love to shop at LV store and I get a different kind of high just unboxing a new bag!;)

Yes--- If it was gently loved (still in good condition)... And a reasonable price... Otherwise I think nothing beats it being YOUR OWN BAG... So you might as well buy it new if you won't save much anyways.

I only have 2 bags and both are pre-loved. I really loved the idea of my first bag (speedy 35) being vintage. It is 21 years old and is absolutely beautiful!

I bought my second one pre-loved because I got a killer deal! :love:

I have purchased both new and pre-owned. One was an item that was discontinued that I just had the have - others were just in such good condition (and verified) that I couldn't pass them up. I am very happy with my pre-owned items but I was patient in finding the items that I wanted in extremely gently used condition.

I have bought LE pre-loved because that is the only way you can get it. But I agree, for current items, the price is usually so close to new, that I would rather pay the extra $100 and get brand new and be Guaranteed of authenticity.

Ditto. My first and only so far is vintage Alma. She was literally like brand new. The leather was still light not even close to patina yet. I adore her!

I voted yes. My first bag (Sonatine) was a pre-loved purchase from eBay. I had it authenticated at an LV boutique. It was in excellent condition. Great find!

All of my other purchases have been brand new. I'm scared that I lucked out that one time, and the next time I might be stuck with a fake I can't return. Plus, I see a lot of people advertising used bags for almost the same price as new ones. And after reading a few of these posts, I'm a little freaked out about where the bag may have been...

I will most likely only by new going forward, unless it's a rare item. Better safe than sorry.

I would and have, my 1st lv bag and wallet were preloved and half retail so I took the plunge and bought after having them authenticated here. The condition was really good too, pristine interior, even patina, canvas perfect. I got my bag from bonz and wallet from feeBay. Since then I bought 2 bags and some slg in store and it's nice to be the original owner. If I can save significant $$$, I'll keep stalking feeBay and bonz and consignment sites. But if it's only like 10-20% off retail, I'll buy new. That's just me. :)
