Agreed. I actually thought the first Valentine's Blackout with the shared here from Instagram was a personalised piece, which seemed super cool. But you're right. Now that I see it in an unedited setting, it lacks depth and dimension.

I did pick up on that, and I think once the bag gets broken in the combination of the graffiti and the softened leather will be pretty interesting.

I know EXACTLY what you are saying; heck .. I have quite a few "odd" Balenciaga bags that were not fan favorites, but they are some of my faves (like my Riva bags!). I just heard back from the Bal boutique, and the Red Blackout bag is more of a Burgundy Red as opposed to a true Red, so I'm not sure about it .. really need to see it IRL!

The blackout city S in black is quietly, subtly HOT. Just bought it. Small is the goldilocks size for this style - scale and proportions are perfect. Leather is sturdy, thick and buttery smooth. Doesn't seem like it would smooth into Bal-puddle, nor should it. The structure matters for this bag. Hard to find IRL -- mostly sold out in black!

Also, I just noticed (duh) - no zipper pocket! Where are you supposed to put your phone? LOL - can't do it. Need that phone pocket.

Two interior pockets - one zip, one slip. iPhone plus-size --in case -- is a perfect horizontal fit into slip pocket.

Just received pics from the Bal-LA boutique, of a whole new 'style' .. without any hardware (as you will all see). This is something that I have to see IRL, because I'm not quite sure about it .. however, since it is Calfskin leather (like the Metal Plate), one never knows!!!
