I didn't pay much attention to this bag before, but i saw the bag in store today and i am IN LOVE!! The leather on the bag is absolutely beautiful. It is thick but also so soft and velvety to touch, just heavenly.

An asian lady was trying this bag on today and it looked really good on her, she bought the blue one. I am hoping to buy this Balenciaga Blackout bag in Black very soon. I have a Metallic Edge City in Black with gold hardware, so i think this one will balance out that bag nicely for days i want to be more minimalist.

It's gorgeous. Breaking in nicely--not like traditional thin Bal puddle leather and isn't meant to be. Softening as expected with lovely patina.

It's thick and rugged and rich and velvety. Not a scratch on it -and I don't baby it! Have worn for 2 1/2 months straight on urban public transit commute, in midwestern snow, on planes, trains, automobiles and hoofing it --everything. This leather suits my taste better than just about any I've had-including other Bals.

It's spectacular!

Hi can you please post some photos of your Blackout bag! I would love to see real life photos of how the bag looks. I am thinking of getting one in Black and would love to see how it looks being used and breaking in. Thank you

Totally understand! At first i didn't like it that much, but now after seeing photos online and feeling the beautiful leather in store, i really love it. It will be a change from the classic studs and metal detailing of my other Balenciaga City bags.

Thanks for posting all those pics! I'm with you & I like it/appreciate this bag. The very first time I saw it i said "hmm, I'm not sure but i do like the minimalist aspect to it" & then every time I've seen this bag I've liked it more & in person, it's definitely better! The blue color bag is dreamy beautiful...reminds me of Tempete color. Will be excited for you when you get yours!

I'm still debating whether the price tag is worth the purchase. I could get a classic city, another metallic edge city or Saint Laurent Sac De Jour for that price! Price is higher than what I'm wanting to pay. Maybe it will go on sale, here's hoping

I'm a fan of the orange one in this pic that @Miss World posted. I think it would break in nicely in this color.
But not loving the others too much.
The small city blue color looks exactly like my Atlantique in the pic.
