This is ugly AF. They have different size hardware on it, a funky front zipper, and doesn't even look remotely close to the city.

I disliked this design on sight but I do have inclinations towards the Rouge Bordeaux. The leather looks like Hermes swift. Maybe Veau Sikkim since it looks so flat?
Girls, I just saw these in person in Las Vegas (aka PURSE HEAVEN). They're kind of not as bad up close, or maybe I'm just desensitized to them, thanks to this thread??? The leather is indeed TDF. So soft and supple. The SA said that "fashion types" and their regular customers have been going nuts over them.
I have seen this bag for 3 days in a row as I'm currently visiting Paris. Every time I feel the leather, the bag is saying this to me: "you know you love me...don't let the [price tag] fool you...make me yoooooours."[emoji8]
Seriously, as ridiculous as the bag might appear to someone, my hubby, who usually frowns at my bills and never remembers what bags I have, actually complemented that it is to his surprise that Balenciaga would decide to release these "conceptual" bags. He even tried it on today and we discussed the possibility that he can bring this to work as the shining studs are gone.
The bag looks larger than regular city but they are in the same size, it's just the leather they used made the bag more structured. The strap on city is longer so you can wear it on shoulder or some might make crossbody work.
The leather is smooth and supple, and I just kept reaching back for the blackout bags while I was roaming around the store for Tex refund process. I think I will wait for at least another 2 months to see how the leather holds, especially for the laser cut holes. I'll be very upset if those holes get creased and become "ovals" [emoji33]

So, after some time .. looking at these (and some pics w/in the thread), I'm totally warming up to this .. BUT a lot has to do with the leather. When I saw the bag IRL at the Balenciaga boutique, the leather was SO divine, that I was like ..
.. but the price?!? .. WOWZA. I actually prefer the non-Black colors because you can really see the stitching. I may just have to go into town again and check it out, especially in the City 'Small' size (the mini is a definite no-no for me). WHERE DID YOU SEE IT ON SALE????
