Maybe it's an midwest or suburban thing because I live in Orange County and work in los angeles and haven't seen someone carry a siggy bag in a long time. I go to Vegas every three months and haven't seen skgnature bags being carried there recently. I was in utah last month and noticed one siggy bag which I remembered as the first time I had seen someone carry them in a long time. I know that coach stores have very few siggy pieces and the last time I was at the outlet (in june), I noticed maybe 40% of their items were signature and more grosgrain leather pieces. I ended up picking up a leather piece, myself.
Not a Midwest thing, that's where I am and not much siggy around here.

I haven't "moved on" from any brand in that I won't carry the bags I already own because every bag I have ever bought, I still love and want to use!

However, after getting into Hermes bags, I highly doubt I will ever buy another bag that isn't Hermes. The quality is just beyond comparison. Not to mention I receive great customer service there and they truly stand by the quality of their product with the spa and etc.

That doesn't mean I don't love and still wear my bags from other brands. I do love them! But from here on out I will stick to buying Hermes.

I cannot really say I moved on from Mulberry as I will keep my Mulbs and love carrying them. However, I am not planning to buy anything with their new design.. Nothing makes my heart sing unforunately..
But I am happy for those who like them as for that price range, they offer repair to your bags and customer services never dissapointed me!

calvin klein.. this is only non-lux/low-end brand i've ever owned and i just moved on when i realized his items were worthless when looking to resell.
LV.. i do like some of their current styles, but every single bag they put out has already been put out (by them!) before, and often in a better style (ie tivoli vs. turenne)
Balenciaga... i  their bags, but will not purchase any more than what i currently own - very low resale and demand

i stick just to vintage Chanel and modern Gucci stuff - although Gucci discounts heavily I just adore their styles and leathers, and Chanel has always been my #1

There are some sold at outlet stores, none in Coach stores.
On Coach.com there is 2 bags out of 16 pages of bags that are siggy.

Coach has a huge line of beautiful leather bags, not just siggy's anymore. Some are quite tasteful and beautiful, they just don't get me excited enough to buy them.

Let's get a few things clear, so this back and forth can stop.

1. I pointed out what I observed, and in the Midwest [and on the east coast] I see A LOT, and I do mean A LOT of signature coach bags. I am all over the midwest all the time. Chicago, Rockford, Milwaukee, Detroit, St. Louis, Ohio, Twin Cities, Indiana, within any given month I hit at least 3-4 of the places mentioned above, and I can definitively say, them ****s is EVERYWHERE in the midwest. Maybe you don't see them, and that's fine, that doesn't mean there are not A LOT of coach siggy bags out there, it just means that you don't see them. Everyone I know also see A LOT of siggy bags, I know because we talk smack about all of the ppl who carry those tacky things. I'm Black, so I go a lot of places where a lot of Black, Latin, and other people of color are...maybe you aren't at those places, maybe you are where it's majority White ppl, maybe White ppl don't like coach siggies as much as Black and Latin ppl...who knows. but for whatever reason, I see a lot and you don't.

2. Just because I see a lot of coach siggy bags does not mean they don't also have leather bags. As I stated before, I don't like coach [at all] so I have no idea what their leather designs are. I may see a coach leather every five seconds and would have no idea. I'm not talking about leather, I'm talking about siggies. period, I can't speak on how many leather coach bags are out there.

3. Can't speak too much on the west coast, haven't been for a while, but I will be in Vegas in 2 weeks, I'll report my findings.

4. Outlet stores sell a lot of siggies, I don't go in coach stores, I can only report what I see in the window, haven't done a thorough inventory, so not sure what percentage is siggy vs other. But the window, seems to be all or most siggy. also, never visited the coach website, so definitely can't tell you what's going on there. but the fact of the matter is, regardless of how many [or few] pages have siggies, I still see a whole boat load of siggies in real life.

5. So to my original point, MK [which I have NEVER owned...not even one, so I can't "move on" from this brand that I never owned, but certainly would have if I ever did], Coach, and LV are on my "Hit list" for over saturating the market with Siggy / Mono bags.

The end.

I don't think there is any reason to get ticked off about it. I live in the Midwest and yes, probably don't frequent the places you do
Now, on to more important things in the world.

Well now, no one is saying that you aren't seeing what you're seeing! My take on the Coach signature bags is that they've been around for a looooooooong time and they wear very well so people have probably had their sig bags for quite a few years. They are also very affordable which is another reason people carry them. There are also millions of them to be had on the second hand market......another affordable source.
Also, "tacky" is certainly in the eye of the beholder though you are certainly welcome to your opinion as far as that goes.

As for the the "back and forth" stopping? I'm the thread starter here and I rather like the back and forth. It's called conversation and it's actually interesting to many of us how bags are "regional" and can be prevalent in some parts of the country yet not in others.
A lot of factors will play into that such as race, age, economic climate, etc.

I know the OP asked about brands but I'll divert a bit to say I have pretty much moved on from three materials because I like my bags to stay new looking even given the fact that I wear them. The first is patent if it is a color other than black it will often show yellowing over time. The second is suede / nubuck (and all its cousins like pony hair) because they too easily pick up stains and get rubbed off at the corners. The last is exotics (python, croc) because anything with scales can lift, curl fall off and those without are often super delicate.

Sadly, I absolutely love bags in each of these materials. But I have to keep myself from buying so I'm not angry at the bag and me down the road.

Not exactly sure why you feel as though I'm ticked off, I'm definitely not ticked off [it's so unimportant, I was just responding, exactly as you did], just an fyi. Just because we have a differing opinion, and I state mine [just as you stated yours] does not mean I'm angry, just means I'm stating my opinion.

I never said all of these bags were brand new recent purchases. I just stated it's a whole lot of 'em. I have no idea when/where ppl purchased. By "back and forth" I mean posters [and I found this in many areas, esp among more "privileged" populations] that if they have not personally experienced it, they question its existence [i.e., racism, Black lives matter, etc. but I won't get on my "white privilege" soap box on tpf]. I was responding directly to the person who said it's not a midwest things, and I'm here to say...IT IS!!

I live in the Midwest and I was stating my opinion that I very rarely see Coach signature bags. On the streets, in stores, in my Coach boutique.....absolutely don't start with any BLM! This is about purses, not politics!

For many of us this comes off as irritated if not angry........sorry but just the way you worded it. This is merely everyone's opinion on brands that they no longer like or want to buy. Obviously bags will change depending on one's region.
We all see what we see, you know? I never got the impression that people were trying to change your mind as to what you actually see, just sharing their viewpoint.
The only vantage point we can come from is our own. I think we can all respect that.
