Miu Miu.
I used to be so crazy for Miu Miu! But for the past few seasons, they haven't been putting out any bag designs that appealed to me.
I've ended up selling one of my Miu Mius, and the the two that I have.. I haven't used them in more than half a year. Both have gold hardware, and I'm really over gold hardware at the moment.
I don't think I'll sell them though, cause I might change my mind.

Coach goes on my list too for bag brands that I have 'outgrown'. Another one is Longchamp. Just these 2 for now.
Coach for me. I was a die hard till recently. I'm so sick of their outlet stores. The whole brand got cheapened by the outlets. I turned my back on them. For the same price point I go to Henri bendel luv his stuff. Just bought my first Gucci. Hopefully it won't be my last!

I'm sure it won't be your last! I always see something in Gucci that I would love to purchase no matter what season.

I've moved on from Marc Jacobs meaning I don't purchase from his current New York line but I still consistently carry the two of my MJ bags. They have the softest leather and are quite durable! Seriously I could probably use another Stam in my collection.

I use to lovveeeee coach! But now I can't stand that their outlet stores are taking over! It makes the brand seem so cheap and then I feel like I would never pay full
Price for something that I could possibly get at the outlet or on sale at Nordstrom or Macy's.

I never liked his bags, but feel like MK is the new coach. EVERYONE is walking around with a damn MK bag and I just do not think they are cute

All I seem to buy as of late is Louis Vuitton, but I'm getting tired of the monogram print, so I might move to a different brand...just not sure what yet

Alexander Wang. I sold my rockie, marion and diego bag. I only kept my mini emile which I love and use frequently because it is such a good size! I still love AW shoes though!

OMG, I'm so boring I've never moved on really :hrmm:
but
some brands have obviously moved on from me
Prada
BV (with a few exceptions, what's with all the chains and fuss?)
MJ (I couldn't find a better made, more sumptuous bag in the 00s)
Chloe (although maybe 2 bags that break my back are enough :-s)
Did you like the bag within bag PRADA had last season? I must admit I loved it and nearly bought it.
I haven't bought or wanted any Chanel for a while now. The prices are extortionate, but I really feel they are not As beautifully made as my old ones. Am I just getting old & grumpy?:confused1:

I don't have current fall out for dissatisfaction reasons. But maybe Prada. As a brand they just let them self go. Not much creativity, always always offering saffiano leather.

But I had a fall out with LV. I got tired of the price increase year after year, it wasn't "exclusive" or "hand made" completely. But I accepted that luxury brands is not what they claim to be. Never will be exclusive. Funniest part-I never bought LV at the time.

I would never recommend Charles Gross to anyone. He has no real fashion knowledge. His videos have gotten worse, and he hardly reviews bags anymore. He's a poser.

I lost all respect for him when he went to Michael Kors, bought a bunch of handbags to "review", and then returned them knowing full well that he would never keep them. Those sales associates work on commission, and I was disgusted at what he did. Besides, in order to review anything, you have to actually use the product. On top of that, he HATES MK with a passion so his opinion is already biased. The brand was never going to get a fair shot. I REALLY dislike Kanye West so I will tell anyone in a minute to ask someone else's opinion about his music as I am unable to do so. I don't even have him on my blog. Not fair to him or my audience.
I also thought he was unfair to the review of the MK bag he purchased. He was definitely bias of his own opinion to the MK bag, not really honest about the review.

Loved that Prada bag!

I think there must be a lot of 'old and grumpy' Chanel lovers then

For me, it's Chloe. I have a little more Chloe bags than any other brand in my closet. However, after the Marcie, I don't seem to find interest any more in their designs. I haven't bought a Chloe in 2-3 years. I have shifted to other brands completely.

Chanel. I've always wanted one. Been on my wish list forever. I finally got one. Not interested in getting another. Next on my list is an LV 25 with the shoulder strap. I want an Hermes Lindy, but I can't seem to mentally prepare myself to drop that much money on a handbag.

This is me too. Chloe was how I got into my addiction to designer bags to begin with. I had more of them than any others. But the designs more recently do not do it for me. I have even sold some of the ones I had. I definitely like their older styles more.

There's been a few other brands I've moved away from completely and sold all bags I had of them (like Miu Miu, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Alexander Wang as some examples) but Chloe was a major brand in my collection due to how many of them I had.

This thread is super interesting!!

Lizard Claiborne was the first bag I lusted for in 1991, I still remember the triangle print and bright colors. Never got one, but I was a little girl and did not need a $75 bag! Obviously 25 years past that obsession.

Coach in the 90s made me drool. Before the print canvas. Just the simple quality plain bags with a coach hang tag. Never got one and by the time I grew up they were so common I didn't want one anymore.

Prada with the silver triangle logo on black nylon in the next decade, but couldn't afford premier. Then I stopped wanting one.

About ten years ago i finally got a burberry check bucket tote and loved it for a bit and then promptly got over it and never wanted another one.

I think that's it; never liked MK or LV to start with but I have one LV that's the exception that proves the rule and I'll eat my words again if they make a bag I love someday. Likewise with Michael Kors, I'm fine if they someday prove me wrong.

I was super into chanel about 6 years ago and was gifted a whole collection during a brief relationship. I got to experience carrying a black jumbo flap with silver hardware and matching wallet and mini cross body version and that was very nice, very luxe to go to the counter and pick out my favorite pieces, don't get me wrong, but.,... They were just bags. I needed the money a year later and sold them and have not been too interested in getting another, at that price point. I have come back from thinking that 4-digit price tag bags are really worth that much more than fabulous 3-digit price tag bags, and actually also now in my thirties just don't want a bag that is so common and recognizable. I want to follow my own personal style a bit more and make my own statement with choices more off the beaten track.

We're very similar in our thoughts about bags! I also thought I HAD TO HAVE an LV so purchased a few of them. After carrying them all for a fairly brief stint I sold them all. I recently fell back in love with the Speedy style but realized that it doesn't have to come from LV so I went on the hunt for one that made me smile....and found her today! I'll show her off when I get her.

Also when it comes to bags that exist more in knockoff version than genuine I'm really REALLY not interested in joining the trend. When they are absolutely everywhere and most are fake, the look just does nothing for me.

('Old lady brand')Dior has far fewer knockoff versions walking around so my most expensive bag nowadays is the large flap new lock in my favorite scarlet/burgundy color. I don't feel the need to sell it because the branding has never gone nuts with over saturation on the streets and likely never will since it's never been a very trendy brand with young women.

I love lesser known designers that have not caught on as much to the point of knockoffs everywhere!!! I have a botkier Stevie convertible satchel in black and metallic beige and I adore the style of those bags which although I bought used off eBay I do not wonder about authenticity. Not only is the quality amazing, who is making fake Botkier Stevie bags? It's not a thing.
And my Carlos Falchi crocodile bag is my favorite. Only reason it retailed in the 4 digits was because of the exotic skin. I got it for 80% off retail on eBay NWT and again, the bag speaks for itself but I doubt Carlos Falchi knockoffs are a real issue to stress too much about if buying on the secondary market.
I also love a high quality etsy bag. I have a sheepskin (or is it goat?) leather convertible bag from Valhalla Brooklyn on etsy and it is so so pretty and the little details are insane. No resale value at all or brand cache but I do not care, I'll keep it until I one day give it to a daughter. And I think my Kelsi Dagger tote is so much fun although I can't find anything in there. I have never seen one IRL and I don't think people knock her off....probably.

Anyways, because I like to find odd little choices in the sun-oremier designer area, no big logos at all, I don't get sick of brands anymore.
